Destiny 2: Where is Osiris on the Moon for Hunter and the Hunted Quest

Destiny 2‘s newest expansion, Beyond Light, is filled with new story, quests, and gear for Guardians to collect. The Beyond Light expansion, which took Steam’s top two sale slots this week, added a new quest called Hunter and the Hunted. In this quest, Guardians have to help Osiris to avenge a friend’s death on the Moon. Warning: Story Spoilers Ahead.

In a surprise move on Bungie’s part, it killed Osiris’ Ghost, Sagira off-screen, making some fans rather upset at the lack of even a cutscene in her honor. This Ghost has been part of the story since Year 1, and she was killed in a fiction post on Bungie’s blog. She does at least get some revenge for her death in the story, however, as a mourning Osiris decides to chase down the creature responsible for his Ghost’s death. He gets in over his head and calls in the Guardian to help.

In order to help Osiris, Guardians first have to get the quest chain for Hunter and the Hunted started. This is the story quest for the Season of the Hunt, the first season of the new Beyond Light expansion. This questline includes Hunt for the Wrathborn. There are several prerequisites in order to start the Season of the Hunt, which began November 17, 2020.

  • Players will have to have completed the first missions from Shadowkeep and Forsaken to be able to access both the Moon and the Tangled Shore.
  • Players will have had to complete the New Light campaign in the Cosmodrome, which is also a great place to farm in Destiny 2.
  • Players will need to grab the quest Trail of the Hunted on the Moon.

Destiny 2 players will have to fly to the Moon, then follow Osiris’ trail. Gain access to the Shrine of Oryx. Once inside the Shrine, pursue the High Celebrant after killing off all the enemies that spawn in the way. The Celebrant will run but eventually attack anyone chasing it, so make sure to be ready for an attack. It will spawn a horde of new enemies, and then run away again. Keep chasing until the Celebrant is dead, then survive the ambush that awaits. After that, a cutscene will play, featuring both a Ghost-less Osiris and a “new” face, that of the Crow.

The path to Osiris – and hopefully a new Trial of Osiris soon – is a long and winding one, filled with dangers.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
