Genshin Impact: Unreconciled Stars Phase 2 Breakdown | Game Rant

While Genshin Impact players have enjoyed plenty of new content since the game’s expansive Version 1.1 update, one of the patch’s strong points has been its story-driven event, Unreconciled Stars. The event began on November 16, 2020, and takes Travelers on a quest to save locals from sleep-inducing meteorites.

Travelers spent the first phase of the three-part Genshin Impact event completing simple, dialogue-heavy quests and tracking down individual Meteorite Shards across several meteor impact sites. Phase Two of Unreconciled Stars introduces not only places to find Meteorite Shards, but also new ways of earning coveted Fading Star’s Might.

In short, the Unreconciled Stars event is taking place in three phases, all occurring within the span of November 16 and November 30, 2020. Each of the three phases builds upon the last, rather than replacing it entirely, with an Event Shop offering event-exclusive rewards until December 6, 2020. The first phase of the event, dubbed Unknown Star, kicked off on November 16, with Phase Two, Star of Deceitful Dreams, starting on November 18.

Star of Deceitful Dreams introduces several new elements to the Unreconciled Stars event, all of which will keep players busy until Phase Three arrives on November 23. First and foremost, players now have the ability to pursue large quantities of Fading Star’s Might at once. This event-exclusive material won’t be a source of premium Primogems, but, it can be exchanged for Ascension materials, mora, and even valuable Hero’s Wits – the highest-level character EXP material in the game – through the Unreconciled Stars Event Shop.

Whereas finding individual Meteorite Shards grants players Fading Star’s Might at a 1:1 ratio, Travelers can now salvage Meteorite Remains to earn multiples of 30-40 Fading Star’s Might at once. The popular five-star Hydro mage, Mona, gladly assists players in locating these Meteorite Remains, and upon completion, Travelers can offer 20 Original Resin in exchange for varying amounts of EXP and Fading Star’s Might, depending on the selected difficulty.

Star of Deceitful Dreams also introduces three new quests as part of the Meteoric Wave, which can be accessed through a button at the bottom-left of the Unreconciled Stars event menu. These quests are simpler than salvaging Meteorite Remains, and each grant Primogems, mora, and Fading Star’s Might, so they’re certainly worth completing. Players should note though: Meteoric Wave quests will not appear anywhere on the map or overworld until individually selected from the Meteoric Wave tab accessed via the bottom-left of the Unreconciled Stars event menu.

Aside from the Meteoric Wave, Phase Two also heralds in a new set of event Achievements. For Unknown Star, the first phase, Travelers earn Primogems, mora, and Fading Star’s Might upon collecting seven Meteorite Shards from each impact site. For Star of Deceitful Dreams, players will instead be rewarded a bundle of Primogems, mora, and varying Talent/Weapon upgrade materials, for every five Meteorite Remains salvaged up to a maximum of 30 Remains.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for Switch.
