Logitech Unveils PRO X Superlight Wireless Gaming Mouse

Logitech has revealed a number of accessories targeted specifically at gamers this year. In July, the company revealed the Logitech G high-end gaming chair created in collaboration with furniture company Herman Miller. Then came the PRO X Lightspeed headset and, in August, the G923 racing wheel and pedal set. This December, the Logitech G PRO X Superlight wireless esports gaming mouse will be joining the company’s Pro Series suite of peripherals.

Aimed at professional esports gamers or players who simply want the latest in gaming technology, the five-button PRO X Superlight features a hyper-minimal design and is Logitech’s lightest wireless esports gaming mouse to date, weighing in at less than 63 grams, 25% lighter than the standard PRO wireless mouse. Its zero-additive PTFE feet allow for a low-friction glide that aids with precision, speed, and maneuverability.

The Superlight also features Logitech’s HERO 25K optical sensor as well as Lightspeed wireless technology, which cuts milliseconds from response time and outperforms even some wired mice. The HERO sensor was three years in the making and tracks movement at the sub-micron level, a fraction of the thickness of a human hair. This allows all mice with the technology to reach a maximum DPI of 25,600. And the HERO sensor also delivers improved tracking speed with no loss in accuracy across the full DPI range, even at velocities over 400 IPS.

This performance doesn’t come at the loss of longevity, however, as the wireless mouse also features improved power management. Even at high DPI settings, the HERO technology is 10 times more power efficient than previous Logitech G sensors. This means that the 2.4 GHz PRO X Lightspeed mouse will allow gamers to play wirelessly for up to 70 hours.

As with other accessories in the Logitech G PRO series, the new PRO X Superlight gaming mouse will not come cheap. It will become available for purchase at Logitechg.com and likely other online retailers on December 3, 2020, and will retail for $149.99. The model will be available in both a black and a white version.

For gamers interested in rounding out their collection of Logitech PRO peripherals, the PRO X Lightspeed wireless gaming headset was unveiled a few months ago and features the same Lightspeed technology as the mouse, reducing response time significantly. Retailing for $200, the headset can stay connected at distances of up to 42 feet and can be charged via USB-C, which is much faster than using a standard micro USB.
