NFL player Von Miller has had an extremely flashy-looking custom PC built. The football player’s love for PCs and gaming is no secret, as he has been known to play Call of Duty with fans on more than one occasion.
Von Miller is an outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos, who recently had some South Park citizens in attendance at a game. However, the eight-time pro-bowler is currently missing the entire 2020 season due to an ankle injury.
Posted in a series of tweets by HB Customs, Von Miller’s custom PC is truly a sight to behold. The Corsair 1000D super-build features glass siding with an etched Von Miller logo. The glass showcases the innards of the tower, where the serious money is.
The custom build features some of the best computer parts in the industry available. Dozens of fans and purple/blue LED lighting are visible throughout. There’s even a Von Miller Funko Pop! Figure standing inside. The most notable piece of hardware, however, is the pair of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090s. These are currently some of the hardest PC parts to come by, with Nvidia confirming RTX 3090 shortages lasting into 2021.
Exactly how much was spent on this impressive computer remains a mystery. Given that Von Miller’s PC is a Corsair, the likelihood of accompanying monitors and Corsair’s new K100 gaming keyboard is high. A posted short video clip pans across the tower along with the multiple sets of images as well. This lets gamers get a pretty good look at what the football star’s PC is packing. Twitter users are responding in awe, with one user even questioning what they were seeing. “What am I looking at? Is that a car engine?”
NFL players have been (at least more openly) gravitating towards gaming in recent years, and games have taken notice. Earlier this year, Twitch held a Fortnite Rivals Streamer Bowl, which paired NFL players with Fortnite pros in a charity tournament. Von Miller was not among those ranks, but he does stream regularly on Twitch. Something that’ll likely only increase once he gets his hands on his one-of-a-kind PC, especially due to his injury and the ongoing pandemic.
Beyond NFL player’s PCs, the NFL itself continues to be affected by COVID-19. The league recently decided that this season’s NFL Pro Bowl will be played on Madden NFL 21. This intertwines the worlds of football and gaming even further than before. It should be exciting to see what happens in the future as a result.
