Assassin’s Creed Valhalla allow players to explore medieval Norway and England, but it also gives them the opportunity to head to more mythological locales. During the story, players will find themselves in Jotunheim seeking out Angrboda, but finding and speaking with her is more difficult than it sounds.
This is part of the quest called Mistress of the Iron Wood, so players that haven’t reached that point in the story yet shouldn’t worry about this until the. For those that have gotten there and are struggling to find her, there’s a trick needed to make Angrboda’s house appear in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The quest prompt explains to players that Angrboda’s house is hidden by Jotnar magic, but doesn’t make it clear how that magic spell can be broken. Thankfully, the solution itself is very simple, players just need to know the right place to look in order to find it.
In order to see and enter Angrboda’s house, players need to stand on a specific stone dais that faces a conglomeration of trees. To find this spot, it’s best to use the Raven’s sight and scope the area out. Though it won’t appear on the map as a marker or anything, it is fairly easy to locate from above. After finding it, Eivor’s raven can create a marker to help players get to the spot easily from the ground. Once there, face the large tree in the center and the house should be revealed to the player as Eivor makes a comment about illusion magic.
Finding the house is only half the battle however, as players must now navigate it in order to find Angrboda. Thankfully, there’s no enemies in this area so players can feel free to take their time, but the house can get a bit confusing at times. Head up the root to the right of the stone dais and jump in through the window, after which another window will lead back outside. Avoid the temptation to climb over the roof of the house and continue following this new root down to another window. Head through the door and down the ladder and Angrboda will initiate a conversation with Hyrrokin.
Outside this room, players will find an impassable door, so dropping down to the platform on the left is the next course of action. Follow this path along the side of the house to find another door, but this one can be opened and leads directly to Angrboda.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
