Fortnite: How to Boogie Before Oblivion | Game Rant

The sun will set on Fortnite Chapter 2’s fourth season next week, and all signs are pointing towards the game’s Marvel-themed season going out with a bang. But before that happens, players are going to want to get as much XP as they can before Season 5 rolls in and the battle pass grind begins anew.

With only a few more days to go, Season 4’s final round of XP Xtravaganza challenges is giving players one last opportunity to grind out a few more of the current pass’ tiers. Most of these are, in typical Fortnite fashion, generic enough that players can figure out what they need to do just from looking at their objectives. However, a few of these are rather vague, including one that challenges players to “Boogie Before Oblivion.” This challenge in particular is fitting for the end of Season 4, since it involves players confronting Galactus, in a sense.

Galactus has been painted as the main threat to Fortnite from the start of Season 4. All of the new Marvel-themed content that’s been added to the game has been building towards the inevitable showdown with Marvel’s cosmic world-eating giant next week, one that could very well result in a black hole like the one that destroyed Fortnite’s original map.

Despite the epic setup, though, the Boogie Before Oblivion challenge is actually a bit mundane for something involving Galactus, but on the plus side, it’s pretty easy to complete. All players need to do is make their way to the roof of Fancy View, the house on the western edge of Fortnite‘s map just west of Sweaty Sands, and look out towards the sea, where they’ll see Galactus’ head poking out above the horizon. From there, they simply need to perform any emote to complete the challenge, giving them the chance to face a world-ending threat while dancing.

Another benefit of the Boogie Before Oblivion challenge being so easy to complete compared to say, trying to find all of Fortnite’s colored bridges in a single match, is that it give players time to complete the rest of this week’s overtime challenges, increasing their chances of beating all of them before Galactus finally arrives to wrap things up. For anyone who needs a refresher, here are the remaining challenges:

  • Deal damage with Assault Rifles to opponents (1,000/2,500/10,000)
  • Hit opponents with Boogie Bombs or Shockwave Grenades (1,9,15)
  • Fish for items from a motorboat (1)
  • Fish for items from a motorboat and a Choppa in a single match (2)
  • Fish for items from a motorboat a Choppa, and a pickup truck bed in a single match (3)
  • Maintain full shield and health for 2 minutes in a single match (1)
  • Maintain full shield and health for 4 minutes in a single match (1)
  • Maintain full shield and health for 8 minutes in a single match (1)
  • Deliver a Semi Truck from outside Upstate New York to Stark Industries (1)
  • Generate power for Stark Industries by riding zip lines to and from Upstate New York (3)
  • Harvest Buses and RVs in native Fortnite locations (1)
  • Release Slurp into the atmosphere (3)
  • Eliminate opponents outside of Stark Industries, Misty Meadows or Weeping Woods (15)

Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
