With many new outlaws joining the world of Red Dead Online, players are looking for ways to earn gold bars. As experienced outlaws know, the grind to get enough gold bars to start a frontier pursuit can be taxing and time-consuming. Stranger Missions and PvP are obvious ways to make gold bars, but daily challenges often get overlooked.
As such, we will go over ten daily challenges every outlaw should take advantage of any time they pop up on the list. The daily challenges featured are super easy to complete and will line a player’s satchel with gold nuggets.
10 Sell Five Items to the Fence
Selling five items to the Fence is simple and easy to do. Looting NPCs is the best way to find sellable items for the Fence. Normally, NPCs will be carrying items such as pocket watches, gold teeth, or rings. To find NPCs without going on a rampage through a town, participate in Stranger Missions that include jailbreaks, or the retaking of property. Players can find a Fence outside of Rhodes, Emerald Ranch, Van Horn Trading Post, or in San Denis.
9 Get Yourself Drunk
Outlaws can complete this challenge by simply going to any saloon in Red Dead Online. Drinks can be bought at the bar for the cheap price of only $4 for a few drinks. To do this effectively, just keep knocking back drinks until the screen becomes blurry. It’s recommended that players do not participate in any activities until they become sober again and can function normally. The effects only last a few minutes and will not linger once it’s over.
8 Eat Five Herbs
This Challenge is arguably the easiest because herbs are plentiful and can be found all over Red Dead Online. To find edible herbs, simply activate Eagle Eye in any field, patch of woods, or on the banks of rivers, lakes, and streams.
A bigger plus side to this challenge is gathering up precious herbs that can be cooked with meat for gold cores, as well as making tonics, baits, or poison weapons. Five herbs can be eaten within minutes.
7 Sell Five Feathers
Birds fill the skies of Red Dead Online and can be found anywhere simply by looking up. The majority of medium-sized birds will provide flight feathers that can be sold for a decent price to any butcher. Participating in this challenge will also increase an outlaw’s Dead Eye. Each bird killed will add plus 10 Experience points to Dead Eye. Plucking birds will give outlaws even more experience points. If this challenge pops up, take advantage.
6 Kill Three Vultures
Vultures can be spotted in the deserts of New Austin and congregate around Tumbleweed. Finding three or more vultures is easy, yet players need to use a repeater to take them down effectively. If an outlaw is impatient and does not want to ride around the desert so long, there is a simple solution. An outlaw can simply kill an animal in the desert, skin it, and wait for the vultures to swoop in and claim the carcass.
5 Play Two Free Roam Events
Free Roam Events can be fun and exciting. They give outlaws the ability to meet other outlaws and form poses. A quick warning before joining a free roam event – any pelts an outlaw has on the back of their horse will be lost upon entering the event. This challenge is easy to complete because Free Roam Events pop up often while players are online. They range from photo challenges, fishing or archery competitions, and PvP gun fighting events.
4 Kill One Alligator
Killing an alligator can be an exciting thrill if an outlaw has the experience and powerful firearms in their arsenal. Alligators can be found all over the swamps of Lemoyne and can be seen feeding and relaxing in large numbers around Lagras.
Bolt Action Rifles and Shotguns loaded with specialty ammo work best on these modern-day dinosaurs. Outlaws should always be on guard when hunting these ferocious beasts because the hunter can easily become the hunted.
3 Escape the Law
If an outlaw does not care about keeping good honor, escaping the law is the perfect daily challenge. If an outlaw causes enough chaos and ruckus in any decently populated town, the marshals will be on their tail within minutes. It’s recommended that outlaws do not try this in San Denis. Police are scattered throughout the city, so it will be harder to run and survive. Tumbleweed and Valentine are the best towns because they are isolated.
2 Use Two Horse Tonics
Horse Tonics can come in handy in a multitude of different scenarios. Horse Tonics can be crafted at any campfire in Red Dead Online. Horse stimulants are the most practical horse tonics to use. They can help an outlaw outrun enemies in an intense chase or when in a desperate time crunch to finish a Stranger Mission. Horse Tonics can be purchased at any Stable, General Store, or in an outlaw’s Wheeler and Rawson Catalog for decent prices.
1 Clean Three Weapons With Gun Oil
Cleaning a player’s weapons is so important and is commonly undervalued. Weapons in Red Dead Online have to be cleaned regularly to maintain their effectiveness. This can easily be done by going to an outlaw’s weapon wheel and clicking the maintenance button. Gun oil is cheap, typically only costing $1, and can also be found looting NPCs after gun battles. Every outlaw has weapons that need cleaning if they are hunting regularly or marching through the swamps of Lemoyne.
