Call of Duty: Warzone Cheaters Are Now Bragging On TikTok

Online multiplayer titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone are usually a place to demonstrate and show off gaming skills, but now an unfortunate number of people are using them to brag about cheating instead. The latest examples of the problem are several TikTok users, who are building big groups of followers by sharing videos of their cheating exploits in the popular battle royale title.

Members of the Call of Duty: Warzone group on Reddit have shared a video from one such hacker, which shows the player gaining huge numbers of kills, and mocking the reactions of the innocent players. The cheating tool provides the user with yellow and red boxes that show when another gamer is behind cover or exposed, shows loot drops, and even shows which weapons other gamers are holding.

As may be expected, the Call of Duty: Warzone community has expressed disappointment at seeing videos with the obvious use of cheating tools, but few seem to be surprised given the scale of the problem. Although the suggestion that the hacker in question is using a PlayStation 4 to cheat rather than a PC, appears to be news to many.

Call of Duty: Warzone has been afflicted by widespread cheating since its launch in March, with many players complaining frequently to publisher Activision. While the company has taken numerous actions to try and limit cheating, it is clear that the problem remains rampant. With such brazen and widespread use of hacking and cheating tools, the game risks losing its core fan base as gamers become fed up with having their experience spoiled by others. Of course, Call of Duty: Warzone is by no means the only online multiplayer game experiencing significant cheating, but it does appear to be suffering more than most.

Many gamers wonder why a small number of players spend so much money to cheat at a game such as Call of Duty: Warzone. One answer is likely that the cheaters simply enjoying trolling people who want to play the game properly. Banning the tools, and banning the cheaters, appears to be the only way to stop the problem.

Of course, most gamers will know how fun it can be to possess lots of power within an open world, but as a community gamers usually stick together to play fair. The sooner Activision and other developers and publishers can find stronger ways to remove and permanently ban cheats, without affecting legitimate players, the better online multiplayer gaming will be for everyone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S.
