Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Leaks Fan Favorite BO2 Map

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is set to start on December 10, at which point fans can expect an influx of new content for the game. Activision has yet to make any kind of announcement as to what fans can expect from Season 1 specifically, but some new leaks may have let the cat out of the bag early. Apparently, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will be bringing back the fan favorite Raid map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

An image of the Raid map has appeared online, showing a virtually identical map as the original, albeit with some slight tweaks to make it fit the Cold War setting. Of course, it’s entirely possible that this image has been faked or that Raid is planned to come to the game at some point later than Season 1, but it definitely appears to be a legitimate rendering. A confirmation one way or the other likely won’t come until next week, unfortunately.

In the meantime, there’s evidence to suggest that Raid isn’t the only map that’s being remade for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Leaked images of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer maps have appeared online, with one looking very similar to the popular Launch map from the original Black Ops game.

The other maps seen in that leak include two that could be originals, with one set in a subway system and another set in a TV station that’s currently filming a game show of some kind. It’s unclear if all of these maps will be added to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as soon as Season 1 starts on December 10, or if they will be gradually added to the game over time, so fans will need to stay tuned for more information.

While most of the recent leaks have revolved around Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War specifically, some information about Call of Duty: Warzone has leaked online as well. It seems as though Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a new map based on Alcatraz island, which has been featured in previous Treyarch-developed Call of Duty games. This may be part of Warzone‘s Black Ops Cold War integration on December 10, or it may be something planned for a little bit later in the season.

More information on what Activision and Treyarch have planned for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 will likely come early next week. Until then, fans should take all of these leaks with a grain of salt.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
