Fortnite is definitely hitting the ground running with its fifth Season. There’s already a new map and a lot to do, including getting a personal Baby Yoda.
Probably the longest quest chain in Fortnite at this point is the quest to get all the pieces of the Beskar Mandalorian skin. There are a bunch of different parts to this, from scavenger hunts to battles, and it’s the last one that’s important here. Players must take down Ruckus, so here’s a guide to finding him and defeating him.
Ruckus is part of the Mandalorian Beskar questline. It’s a long, multi-part quest with eight major steps. Each part unlocks as the player reaches new levels in the Battle Pass, with the final part unlocking upon reaching level 100. Defeating Ruckus is the sixth part of the quest, and is almost the shortest and sweetest.
Ruckus is east of Slurpy Swamp. More specifically, he’s at the Hydro 16 building, which is right on the eastern point of the lake above Misty Meadows. Upon finding Ruckus, don’t try to talk to him like a Fortnite NPC. Although he is one of the new characters of the Season, he is aggressive by default.
Ruckus won’t lock on to players right away. He can be evaded by being stealthy, at least at first. Be sure to get a good weapon before taking him on, then get the drop on him if possible. Even if right in front of him, players can start blasting before he does. Hide behind barriers when he starts shooting, and make sure each hit lands. He hits harder than players, so it might take some patience. Once he’s down, the remaining quests involve going up against other players rather than hunting down Beskar Steel, so this fight is good practice.
Defeating Ruckus makes him drop some loot, including his trademark rocket launcher.
Defeating Ruckus isn’t too tricky, although other players may make it harder. Whoever strikes him down with the final blow gets the kill, so be careful around other players swarming him. The remaining two quests involve a Legendary Challenge and completing a Bounty. Ruckus himself is not a Bounty, as these can only be taken out against other players. It should also be noted that Ruckus is a skin, just like Mancake. However, defeating someone with the Ruckus skin is not enough to complete the quest; it must be the actual Ruckus. Happy hunting.
