World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – Halls of Atonement Dungeon Guide

Throughout their leveling experience to 60, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players discover just how badly each covenant has been affected by the anima drought. From Bastion to Ardenweald, heroes manage to resolve short term issues, but the same can’t be said for Revendreth. While this last realm appears stable on the surface, its situation is much more dire than anyone anticipated. STORY SPOILERS AHEAD

Halfway through the zone’s questline, players find that the Venthyr rebellion they were initially tasked to quell is actually trying to restore Revendreth to its intended purpose. On the other hand, Sire Denathrius and his loyal minions in Castle Nathria have been exacerbating the problem by hoarding anima and sucking souls dry rather than redeeming them. While the final confrontation with this lord of death will open up next week, players must deal with other foes in the Halls of Atonement dungeon first.

When the fight starts, everyone must immediately get inside the red circle surrounding the boss. The party must stay within this area the whole time to avoid being feared. Move out of the Glass Shard zones created by Crumbling Slam and Heave Debris which are targeted at the tank class and DPS respectively. Once Halkias begins casting Refracted Sinlight, stay out of the four beams. Keep moving clockwise or counter-clockwise to dodge the beams but note they can change rotation partway through the ability. To simplify the beam phase, drag the boss away from existing Glass Shard zones while making sure not to get anyone feared prior to the Refracted Sinlight cast.

The boss will use Stone Call to summons several Undying Stonefields. Once these adds reach zero health, they become invulnerable and begin healing to full health over 30 seconds. However, they can be permanently destroyed in this state by Echelon’s Stone Shattering Leap. Players targeted should position near the adds quickly once the AoE circle appears around them. Echelon will also use Blood Torrent which creates a damaging blood pool so stay out of it at all times. Finally, players will become petrified by Curse of Stone at 100 energy so make sure the other mechanics are dealt with preemptively to not overwhelm healer classes once everyone breaks free.

Tanks will be constantly hit by Bolt of Power so have mitigation ready or interrupt sparingly. On the other hand, Volley of Power will target 3 World of Warcraft players and must always be interrupted. Throughout the fight, the boss summons an invulnerable ghost that pulses AoE damage and can only be dispelled by bringing it to one of the Vessel of Atonement jars in each corner of the platform. Anima Fountain will fire projectiles at the party’s current position so just keep moving out of the swirls that appear.

Stigma of Pride is a stacking DoT applied on the tank so use cooldowns and healing once the damage starts ramping up. Stay out of the Unleash Suffering frontal cone once it is targeted towards a random player. Lord Chamberlain will throw a statue with Telekinetic Toss in the direction it currently faces, so stay out of the way. At several points during the fight, the boss uses Chamberlain’s Chorus on every statue: Telekinetic Onslaught pulls in the statues, Telekinetic Repulsion pushes them away, and Ritual of Woe sends out four beams that pulse AoE damage if they hit a statue. Dodge the pull and push then have DPS classes and the tank stand in the beams while using cooldowns to help out the healer.
