Fortnite just entered Season 5 of its second chapter, and with it comes a slew of new content, places to explore, and things to do. While a lot of attention has been paid to exciting collaborations, such as welcoming Kratos and possibly Master Chief to the game, some fans look forward to grinding out XP quests.
The changes introduced to the game come in the wake of the Season 4 Nexus War event, which turned the center of the Fortnite‘s island into a desolate wasteland known as the “Zero Point,” also the title of this season. There is plenty for players to explore around the island outside of that Zero Point. The side quests available for Season 5 get players moving around to different parts of the map, including the Beachside Mansion.
Placing a camera near the Beachside Mansion is one of the rotating XP quests players can take on when they drop into Fortnite. These aren’t available all the time, but should cycle into a player’s list of quests at some point.
On the far west side of the map, right on the coast between Holly Hedges and Sweaty Sands, is the Beachside Mansion. Out on the point, at the north side of beach that the mansion looks over, is the location players need to find to place their camera. Finding the right spot and starting the surveillance is all it takes to collect XP, which is a lot easier than trying to unlock the Beskar Mandalorian skin.
YouTuber HarryNinetyFour put together a quick and easy-to-follow video for those who would like to know exactly where the camera needs to be placed. Like other players, content creators tend to look forward to a new season of an ongoing game like Fortnite, as it gives them the opportunity to produce a wide range of material for their audience. Some creators aren’t as jazzed by Season 5 so far, however, with popular Twitch streamer xQc airing some grievances about side quests found in the new season.
Fortnite continues to be a hugely popular title, and every new season brings players back to the action. In-game events, collaborations, and live tournaments attended by thousands make it a big spectacle almost any day of the week. Epic Games just announced that the 2021 Fortnite World Cup has been cancelled, so fans will have to stick with grinding XP quests and hanging out online for a little while longer.
Fortnite is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
