World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – Best DPS | Game Rant

There’s a lot to take in when it comes to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Many players rush to quests and dungeons, sometimes missing the little, hidden details in Shadowlands along the way.

Of course, that’s understandable, since most players are focusing on one thing: character progression. Few things are as satisfying in World of Warcraft as watching a character become the legendary monster they were always destined to be. For many players, this means a DPS build; focusing on pouring as much damage as possible into an enemy in the shortest amount of time. These are vital for raids and dungeons, so here’s a little guide to the best DPS builds in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.

There are a few things its important to know before starting Shadowlands, and one of these is what a character will look like when fully built. For Mages, this is sometimes a harder task than other classes. Diverse and powerful, Mages can rain down destruction in different elements. At the moment, the Frost Mage is heavily favored in Shadowlands. Good damage is the obvious part, and the various slows, freezes, and protections inherent in the build don’t hurt either.

Perhaps one of the most thematically appropriate DPS classes, since Shadowlands‘ gameplay at level 60 often consists of hunting down powerful monsters. The marksmanship hunter focuses on pouring ordinance into enemies from afar. With proper screening (often from other classes), a marksmanship hunter can turn almost any foe into a hedgehog from long range, and is very fun to use. Good for more (relatively) casual and seriously committed characters alike, it’s a build that hasn’t gone out of style in Shadowlands, and likely won’t any time soon.

When it comes to global PVE, other Warlock builds have this one beat. In addition, it’s rather tough to play, since it requires precise timing with abilities. But thanks to a few new abilities from Shadowlands, in the hands of a dedicated, skilled player, Destruction Warlock is a monster. Able to make sacrifices for extreme damage, it is useful in most dungeons and raids in Shadowlands. Rather paradoxically, the best covenant for this DPS build is Kyrian, making for Warlocks wielding holy and unholy powers at the same time.

This is the big one. Although relatively few changes have been made in Shadowlands, when it comes to DPS, Subtlety Rogue is in a class of its own. Head and shoulders above the second best (Destruction Warlock) in all categories, it relies on short cooldowns and attacks from stealth. Hard to hit and hitting hard, Subtlety Rogue is a wise player’s choice for consistent burst damage. No doubt, players will soon be seeing Rogues in Legendary Armor on the regular.
