A new product looks to appeal to fans of both Gucci and Apple, but particularly those that also have a lot of money. For a staggering $1100, fans can get their hands on a Gucci branded carrying case for their AirPods, but it shouldn’t take long to realize why most consumers aren’t going for this. At that price, the case is more expensive than the AirPods themselves several times over, and some AirPods are more expensive than the PS5.
Typically speaking, Apple‘s AirPods retail at $159 for the standard ones, but even the more expensive variants don’t reach anywhere near $1100. Even so, there are certainly going to be those that do buy this case, as its well-known high price point should help owners to show off prestige and wealth.
Though AirPods make a great holiday gift, they are small, and since users are very likely to lose them, a portable case makes a lot of sense. In the case of Gucci’s new case, users will wear it around their neck as a necklace of sorts. There is also a cheaper alternative, but it isn’t likely to make too much of a difference to most.
