Last month, Godfall released to the PC alongside the PS5, making it one of the next-generation console’s launch titles. Despite the anticipation for the game, Godfall received mixed reviews from fans and critics due to its numerous bugs at launch.
Now, for players interested in playing Godfall but are not willing to pay for full price, Amazon is currently offering a discount for the PS5 version of the game, making it a great deal, especially since Godfall was just released last month. At the moment, players can pick up the standard edition of Godfall for $49.99, which is 29% off its original price of $69.99.
Apart from the base game, Amazon offers a discount on Godfall’s special versions, which offers numerous in-game bonuses and perks. Godfall’s Deluxe Edition is currently available for $79.95 or 11% off its original price of $89.99. The Deluxe Edition of the game grants players access to its upcoming DLC expansion, set to release sometime in 2021. On the other hand, the Ascended Edition of the game is available for $79.99, or 20% off its price of $100. The Ascended edition includes everything in the Deluxe Edition, including various skins, weapon packs, and other in-game freebies. Lastly, console players should know that Godfall will only remain a PS5 exclusive until May 2021.

In a recent interview with Game Rant, Godfall composer Ben Macdougall praised the game’s performance on the PS5. According to the developer, Godfall on the PS5 makes the game more immersive than ever before, especially with how the game’s soundtrack was designed to heighten the emotions players will feel while playing the game. Additionally, Macdougall revealed in the interview that Godfall’s music was carefully composed to “add emotional weight” to every cutscene, battle, and exploration sequences of the game.
It is worth noting that Macdougal is behind for all the music in the game, and when Game Rant asked him if he has any favorites, the composer highlighted two specific tracks that are dear to him. The first piece of music that Macdougal mentioned is “Land of the Valorians,” which serves as the third track on the game’s musical score. Players familiar with Godfall would most likely remember this track, given that it appears early in the game. The second track that Macdougal highlighted in the interview is track 28 called “Son of Aperion,” which one of the final pieces the composer wrote as an alternative version of the main Godfall theme.
Godfall is available now for the PC and PS5.
