Cyberpunk 2077 often bombards players with choices, and this can be overwhelming at times. To make matters worse, some of these choices seem to be irrelevant, fizzling out after a short dialogue, while others may have far reaching consequences. This lends a level of anxiety to each decision made in the game, but fans can rest assured knowing that the choice between Angel or Skye isn’t so high stakes.
As part of the main story of Cyberpunk 2077, players will enter Clouds in an effort to find Evelyn. Naturally, it isn’t so easy as just walking in and asking the receptionist, and instead V gets wrapped up in the situation and has to pretend to be a customer. They are eventually given a choice after that.
Regardless of how players feel about the morality of picking a “doll” at this glorified brothel, a choice must be made. In the end, the player won’t get to do anything other than talk to this doll, however. It also seems that the choice between Angel or Skye doesn’t really matter, as the dialogue is mostly the same regardless.
Effectively, which doll the player chooses just determines who they talk to in their booth later on. Nothing else happens between V and the doll, and the dialogue plays out almost word for word regardless of who they pick. This is one choice that doesn’t have much of an effect on the story or any future outcomes, so players can feel free to just choose whichever NPC they’d rather be looking at during this cutscene.
There are some minor differences in their dialogue but ultimately the same ideas get portrayed. For those that don’t remember and are just looking at the names, it may be worth noting that Skye is the female one and Angel is the male one. Other than that, there really isn’t much that goes into making this choice, as once the session is over, V will leave and continue on with his life. Both NPCs give the same information and will help the player find Evelyn so the choice doesn’t really matter.
Many choices in Cyberpunk 2077 are like this, where many different options all lead to the same outcome. This lets players feel like they are changing the course of the game even if certain aspects of it are already predetermined. Other choices that the player makes may have more long lasting consequences, but players can rest easy knowing that this one does not.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
