When players start the “Happy Together” job in Cyberpunk 2077, they will be asked to speak to Barry, the player character’s next-door neighbor. In the ensuing conversation, Barry mentions a deceased friend of his, Andrew, as well as the memorial, or “niche,” that he set up in Andrew’s honor.
Some Cyberpunk 2077 players have reported not being alerted to this step in-game, which could result from failing to select the blue, optional dialogue options while talking to Barry. During the conversation in Barry’s apartment, players should push Barry to talk about his friend’s death, and compare Andrew to a grandfather figure. This will cause Barry to talk about Andrew’s niche, and should initiate an alert to “Find Andrew’s niche before talking to the cops.”
However, even if players aren’t alerted to the new objective (“Find Andrew’s niche before talking to the cops”) once the conversation is complete, they should still hop in a car and visit the memorial if they’re hoping to end this job with Barry alive. In Westbrook, the columbarium can be found in the North Oak area, just southeast of the Softsys building and immediately south of the North Oak sign. After going through the front entrance, players should take the second right, and then the first left. Andrew’s niche will be located at the end of the second column, on the right.
Players will know they found the right niche if they see one reading “In loving memory of my best friend ANDREW.” Dialogue options will appear, initiating the optional objective to talk with Keanu Reeves lookalike, Johnny Silverhand. This conversation allows the player to learn about Andrew’s big secret, which they will have to discuss with Officers Mendez and Petrova when completing the objective “Talk to the cops.”
Finding Andrew’s niche should be straightforward, but Andrew’s secret is not. Knowing more about how troubled Barry’s life has been, players will now have the option to prevent Barry from ending it prematurely by convincing Officer Mendez to open up to Barry about an old case.
While bugs relating to this objective have been discussed, there remains the possibility of unreported bugs, and the game may even crash. There are steps to take if the game crashes while playing on Steam, but if the player follows these outlined steps, they should still be able to locate Andrew’s niche.
