Since World of Warcraft: Shadowlands dropped with record-breaking numbers, fans have been exploring the afterlife for the denizens of Azeroth. During your journeys, you are sure to encounter epic quests and equally epic foes that must be slain. At the end of the day, however, there is one thing more important than your hero’s journey. Fashion.
In every expansion to World of Warcraft, there are some great looking (and not-so-great looking) armor sets released. Shadowlands is no different, so you should know and take a look at the coolest armor sets you can get your hands on now. After all, it is World of Warcraft. You are probably going to need to invest a fair amount of time into getting a few of these!
10 Necrolord Stitched Cloth Set
So, you’ve found yourself as a caster in Maldraxxus and want to fit in with the cool kids? Look no further than the Necrolord Covenant’s finest stitched cloth set. But, be warned, this armor set will take you a bit of time to get your hands on.
While playing through the Necrolord Covenant’s questline you will be able to upgrade your Covenant Sanctum. At the final tier, you will unlock the Abomination Factory mini-game. Once you have collected enough Malleable Flesh you will be able to craft this ensemble!
9 Necrolord Duty Bound Plate Set
The Necrolord Duty Bound set is actually one of the most sought after armor sets in Shadowlands right now. That is because no one has actually figured out how to get it yet. Some believe it could come from Tribute of the Duty-Bound, a weekly elite Necrolord callings quest.
Rarity is not the only thing that makes this plate set impressive, however. The flickering blue spirit energy coming off of the bone embellishments is sure to impress your friends and terrify enemies as you charge into Warsong Gulch!
8 Necrolord Bladesworn Leather Set
Sometimes the best looking armor sets are also the easiest to receive. Take, for example, the Necrolord Bladesworn leather set. This scarecrow from hell is easily obtained by playing through the Necrolord Campaign in Shadowlands. You should have every piece of the set unlocked by the end of Chapter 7.
But it is incredibly easy to lose track of items while you are still leveling. If you want to get a piece of this set back from the great beyond all you need to do is purchase them from Slayer Araya for 100 Anima each!
7 Kyrian Selfless Cloth Set
This cloth set from the Kyrian Campaign is another example of not having to work too hard for a nice looking set of armor. The Selfless set is unlocked by completing quests throughout the Kyrian Campaign. All pieces are unlocked by the end of Chapter 7.
It is hard to say if an outfit with this much solid gold on it can truly be called cloth armor. It is, however, easy to find out where you can purchase lost pieces to complete this set of armor. Just bring 100 anima to Forgelite Neptira for every piece you still need.
6 Kyrian Discordant Leather Set
The Kyrian Discordant leather set is sure to be a hit with anyone wanting to cosplay as a fantasy Sith lord while they are doing their weekly raids. This set can be unlocked by defeating all 10 fights in the Path of Ascension mini-game using your soul binds Pelagos, Kleia, and Mikanikos.
After you have completed this, you’re also going to need to save up to 12500 Anima to purchase this new ensemble. The set can be found by speaking to the Armor Vendor at the Path of Ascension, Orluna.
5 Night Fae Night Courtier Leather Set
This is one of those sets that fans will hate to get but love to have. The Night Courtier set can easily be purchased from the Night Fae Renown Quartermaster Elwyn, who resides within the Heart of the Forest. The pieces don’t even cost all that much.
That said, in order to unlock the ability to purchase this armor set players will need to first reach Renown 32 with the Night Fae faction. That will probably take your average player a bit and someone more casual a significant amount longer to complete. Thankfully there are some cool and easy mounts to unlock while you’re waiting.
4 Night Fae Night Courtier Plate Set
The plate variant of the Night Courtier set is another one that players are certain to flock to as soon as they are able to. Because this is also a Renown set, players will still need to reach Renown 32 with the Night Fae faction. But this armor set lends itself perfectly to running around Stormwind /yelling, “I am Groot!” so people will put in the effort.
This set can be purchased from the Night Fae Renown Quartermaster Elwyn. He can be found inside the Heart of the Forest region. Each piece of the set costs between 1500-4000 Anima and 10-30 Grateful Offerings.
3 Venthyr Burnished Leather Set
The Venthyr faction has a lot of incredibly cool looking armor sets for players of all classes. The Burnished Leather set is one of the best variants. There is a very Prince of Darkness vibe in this set to let you feel like the vampire you never knew you wanted to be.
The Burnished set can be obtained after unlocking the final tier of the Venthyr Blood Mirror Network. This tier is called Mirror’s Edge (not to be confused with that parkour game). Once you have unlocked this upgrade you will be able to enter secret areas containing chests that can drop Burnished set pieces.
2 Venthyr Ebony Mail Set
The Venthyr Ebony mail set is yet another example of the best-looking armor sets occasionally being the easiest one to get. The ebony set can be unlocked by completing the Venthyr Campaign and all pieces will be available by the end of Chapter 7.
If you happen to lose a piece of this set that makes you look like you should be presiding over a Mortal Kombat tournament, don’t fret. Each piece of the set can be purchased from Gregor the Pallidblade for 100 Anima each.
1 Venthyr Crimson Plate Set
Now, this is a plate set fit for the king of Hell himself. Players will look absolutely terrifying as they enter the battlefield in their Venthyr Crimson plate set. In order to unlock the Crimson set, you will first need to reach Renown level 32 with the Venthyr faction. As discovered previously, this can take a very long time.
Once this threshold has been met, every piece of this set is available for purchase from the Venthyr Renown Quartermaster, Chachi thee Artiste. Their shop is located within Sinfall. Each piece of the Crimson set costs between 1500-400 Anima and 10-30 Grateful Offerings.
