Call of Duty: Warzone players have finally seen the game integrated with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and a new map has been released alongside that integration. The highly anticipated Rebirth Island map is now playable in Call of Duty: Warzone, and the map includes a complex new Easter egg for players to complete.
The first team to complete the Easter egg was led by YouTuber Geeky Pastimes, and it sees players scouring the Rebirth Island map for a briefcase and codes to open a large yellow door. Once opened, players get access to the exclusive “Red Room” blueprint for the Milano SMG, with the stylish look coming alongside perks such as foresight and a gas mask. Players should be warned that the Easter egg will be a bit challenging, however, as it relies entirely on RNG.
Geeky Pastimes and his team of Easter egg hunters spent eight hours solving the “yellow door” quest, with the team taking so long due to the randomization of the briefcase’s spawn point. So far, the dedicated group of Call of Duty: Warzone fans have supposedly found 6 of the 8 locations for the briefcase, highlighting them on the map above. Players will need to check each of these locations, hoping that the briefcase has spawned into their game.
Once found and opened, the briefcase will give players hints about the next step, which is once again going to be randomized.
Accessing the bunker of Rebirth Island is far more difficult than getting into Call of Duty: Warzone‘s airport shelter, as the Verdansk location does not require the completion of a complex code puzzle. For players to complete the code to the door, they will need to look at the three locations shown in the photos of the opened briefcase. Each location will point to a random area on the map where the code can be found, such as a cement mixer in the construction area. The marked item will feature a piece of the code, with players needing all three pieces of the code to complete the 8-digit number.
Players should pay specific attention to the hyphens after each set of numbers, as they indicate its place in the sequence. The code piece with two numbers will always go in the middle. An example would see the code pieces 213-, -37, and -568 making the code 21337568.
Once players have been rewarded by good RNG and successfully assembled their code, they will need to go to the Headquarters Command Center to open the large yellow door. Entering the code in the keypad to the right of the door, players can then walk in, claiming the special blueprint for their SMG from a table. Entirely unique from the blueprints seen in the Season 1 battle pass, the special Milano design is a great way for players to show off their Easter egg completion.
While the Easter egg took Geeky Pastimes’ group “eight hours” to complete, having a guide should make the process a bit easier for players. However, with not all briefcase locations being discovered and the process completely relying on RNG, Call of Duty: Warzone players may have better luck getting their disabled Double XP tokens to work again.
