The fourth DLC character in the second character pass for Jump Force has been revealed, and Spike Chunsoft has begun to showcase what this new fighter has in store for the game. This comes after Bandai Namco Entertainment has already announced Bleach‘s Yoruichi as the tenth character to join the fighting game as a DLC addition since launch.
Bandai Namco is stepping Yoruichi forward on multiple fronts as well, releasing a teaser to give players a look at some of the character’s strongest attacks, alongside a second, more in-depth look. From what has been showcased, the tenth fighter coming to Jump Force should be an agile addition to the game’s fast-paced combat, fitting in with a number of previous characters fluidly.
In the video with the more in-depth combat footage of Yoruichi in action, what’s shown is less how she controls, but instead shows how she will fight against the player. Having been taken from the Jump Festa 2021 event, the gameplay footage also has live commentary, although it’s in Japanese, so some viewers may have trouble understanding exactly what is happening. The footage itself does showcase the character’s new fighting style, with Yoruichi’s utility appearing to match other Jump Force DLC characters as a hopeful for hitting as a high tiered fighter.
The character herself fits into the game as well, with Yoruichi jumping into the Jump Force art style about as well as other Bleach characters to join, such as Ichigo and Rukia. Even with the extended looks at the new fighter’s abilities, it’ll still be up to players to ultimately figure out exactly how she stacks up against the competition, as is often the case with new members of any fighting roster. However, players should be excited, as Yoruichi brings all of the flashy, high-speed combat she’s known for in Bleach into Jump Force in an intimidating package that seems to have some of the players showcasing her abilities on their toes.
Any new character coming to a popular fight title is reason enough to celebrate for fighting fans, and if the excitement from Yoruichi’s announcement is anything to go by, her fame speaks well enough for itself. As for other DLC characters coming to Jump Force in the future, it looks like Yoruichi isn’t the only piece of excitement that Spike Chunsoft has in store for 2021. With any luck, the final fighter in the Character Pass 2 will be as exciting as Bleach‘s ninja fighter.
Jump Force is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
