It’s the most wonderful time of the year; discount season. Bandai Namco is hosting a massive Winter Meltdown Sale on the Nintendo Switch eShop that is now live, and will last until December 31, 2020, at 11:59 pm PT. The Bandai Namco sale is highlighted by the likes of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Ni no Kuni, and Jump Force Deluxe Edition.
While some promoted price slashes offer small deals, this Winter Meltdown Sale has some games being discounted by nearly 85%. Dragon Ball FighterZ (which just received a new DLC character) is on sale for just $9.59, when it is still normally $59.99 on the Switch eShop.
Another big discount includes Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, which was remastered wonderfully to the Switch in 2019. The game is priced at $14.99 instead of $49.99. While most of the games from Bandai Namco lean towards fighters or licensed titles, the Ni no Kuni discount gives players a now-classic RPG to enjoy.
One of the newest games on the list is Jump Force Deluxe Edition, which recently released on the Switch after coming out in 2019 on other consoles. The game is $20 off. As far as a crossover fighter, perhaps only Super Smash Bros Ultimate can compete with just how many characters from different entities are in the game. Of course, Nintendo’s Smash Bros Ultimate brings over characters from all different genres and game developers/publishers, while Jump Force Deluxe Edition is all Shonen Jump manga/anime characters.
Some of the best anime video games of recent memory are on sale. So for those who enjoy Dragon Ball, Digimon, Naruto, One Piece, Sword Art Online, My Hero Academia, and more, the Winter Meltdown Sale is worth taking a look at. Whether it be for a gift, a purchase thanks to the extra cash from holiday presents, or simply as a treat over the holidays, it is nice to take advantage of all of the deals that take place over this period.
