Warface: Breakout Launches Cold Sun Season | Game Rant

Warface: Breakout, the tactical first-person shooter from the team at Crytek, is about to get some new content to close out 2020. Warface: Breakout released back in May on the PS4 and Xbox One, making a name for itself as a spin-off of the popular free-to-play title, Warface.

Since then, Warface: Breakout has grown and received plenty more updates since then. Now, Warface: Breakout’s Season 3 “Cold Sun” is out now, bringing a new map, reimagined weapon scopes, and plenty of Christmas-themed rewards to earn.

The new map coming to Warface: Breakout is called “Outskirts,” which is set in a snow-covered mountain village keeping in line with the wintery theme of “Cold Sun.” Warface: Breakout is also reimagining weapon scopes, which should allow players to aim down the sights without losing awareness of the surrounding environment during combat. Additionally, new seasonal rewards are coming to the game, including new weapons, bomb skins, and victory poses. Finally, this update will bring a limited-time Christmas event, including a new team deathmatch mode.

Alongside this Christmas-themed event also comes with themed, exclusive cosmetics including avatars, stickers, and challenge cards to get players into the holiday spirit. This Christmas-themed event will last from December 22 all the way through January 11. Returning players interested in these new seasonal rewards should definitely make time for Warface: Breakout over the holiday season. This spin-off of the free-to-play Warface title stands on its own as a solid tactical shooter, so new players interested in the genre should consider giving Warface: Breakout a look.

Warface: Breakout is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
