Cyberpunk 2077 has an expansive and robust open world for players to explore. Players have already spent dozens of hours in Night City, seeking out all this corrupted city has to offer. As with any RPG, the number of activities for V to invest time into can be overwhelming.
For those able to delve into the gritty Night City, there may be some activities that get overlooked due to the sheer amount of content afforded to mercenaries. There are several key experiences that users won’t want to miss on their freshman visit to the futuristic city of dreams, however. Make sure to invest some time into these experiences.
10 Romances
Romances have become synonymous with western RPGs. They serve as another vessel to immerse players in a world where they can become someone else. Cyberpunk 2077 is no different in this regard. Depending on what type of character players create, different romance options will be available.
The male version of V will be able to romance two characters: Panam Palmer and Kerry Eyrodyne. The female variant of V has two separate options: Judy Alvarez and River Ward. On top of the more invested romances, each V can also take part in a fling with Meredith Stout.
9 Different Lifepaths
Starting in Cyberpunk 2077 is different for each life path. Depending on which background players choose for V, there will be a unique prologue. Not only this, but a specific dialogue option will be available to V depending on what life path was chosen at the start of the game.
While the details given out in the prologue can seem inconsequential, it gives a level of depth that can help immerse players in their respective versions of V. User preference may vary, but each gives an exciting introduction to the world of the post-apocalyptic Cyberpunk 2077.
8 Craft Items
An element of Cyberpunk that can net players easy upgrades and earn money is the crafting system. Users have documented that this system can be used to farm Eurodollars with ease by crafting and breaking down items. This system can also be used to improve weapons.
Players should take note that crafting too much can lead to corrupted save files in Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully, CD Projekt Red will have this bug ironed out soon, as crafting upgrades in Cyberpunk can be an effective way to upgrade gear and earn quick cash.
7 Fist Fights
With a society as technologically advanced as that of Cyberpunk, it may surprise some users that fist fighting is so prevalent in this world. With entire sidequests centered around old-school brawling, players will have to get used to hand-to-hand combat.
While the mechanics for melee combat are a bit clumsy, it offers an interesting alternative to gun-oriented gameplay. Denizens of Night City should be aware of how challenging these brawls can be. These missions will require a fundamental understanding of the clunky system. Patience will be key to prevailing over one of Cyberpunk’s weaker elements.
6 Install Implants
Since V is a resident of a future when body modification is the norm, it stands to reason that players would be able to install upgrades while playing. Implants serve as a way for players to improve V’s abilities. The frontal cortex, circulatory system, immune system, nervous system, and integumentary systems are just some of the areas that can see improvements.
Each type of mod comes with several rarities starting at common and leading up to legendary. Night City is filled with equipment that can bolster V’s overall effectiveness.
5 Brain Dance
A brand-new pass time in the futuristic Night City would be Brain Dances. Brain Dances impact all senses for the user, including taste, touch, sight, sound, and smell. Many of the residents of Night City use Brain Dances as a way to fully immerse themselves with the media of all types.
Ranging from television programs to adult entertainment, there is no shortage of surreal experiences for those interested. While V does take part in Brain Dances in Cyberpunk, they often use them as a means of investigation. V will take part in Brain Dances to find valuable information at multiple points in the game.
4 Boost Street Cred
In Night City, reputation can make or break V’s effectiveness. The more Street Cred V accumulates the more side-missions or Gigs he has access to. Those looking to get the most out of their Night City Experience will want to invest time into building a reputation for V.
Some Fixers in Night City will only offer jobs to V when he has hit a certain level of notoriety in the Street Cred system. Not only can new jobs be given at higher Street Cred levels, but vendors will offer new supplies and items later on. While these tasks may not be a priority early on, V will want to return to improve his reputation as his adventure through Night City progresses.
3 Find Tarot Graffiti
While collectibles are not as traditional in Cyberpunk as they are in other open-world games, there are some interesting tags littered across the city for players to find. Known as Tarot Cards, V will have to hunt down these images reminiscent of the famous fortune-telling cards.
With 20 unique images to find, V can grab all entries at any point as part of a side mission. This provides a unique and interesting scavenger hunt for V to take part in. This art takes center stage for a side-mission in the game that players will want to take part in.
2 Get Mantis Blades
One of the most famous upgrades in Cyberpunk would be the Mantis Blades. These body modifications install functioning blades in the forearms of the user. With powerful strikes, V can slice through enemies with ease. Bladed weapons are currently outclassing ranged counterparts in Cyberpunk.
Those looking to eviscerate adversaries will want these upgrades ASAP. Mercenaries should be warned that this upgrade is pricey. Costing 16,000 Eurodollars, V will need to do several significant jobs to afford these lucrative weapons.
1 Choose Branching Story Paths
Just as with Geralt in The Witcher 3, V’s choices in Night City will have lasting consequences. How they talk, interact, and treat others can impact how certain missions pan out. Some situations can even see the main characters die as a result of V’s actions. This gives weight to V’s choices, and in turn, impacts how the player handles situations.
CD Projekt Red has created a story with several unique endings. With multiple conclusions in the game, players will have plenty of reason to return to Cyberpunk over time.
