Of the many games to release in 2020, Hades is one that resonated with quite a lot of people. From its memorable cast of characters, tight gameplay mechanics, and colorful art design, Hades is a game that fans will hopefully get a lot of mileage out of in the years to come. Though, the developers have now released something to get fans into the holiday spirit.
Over the years, Supergiant Games has seen its fair share of success and has produced a number of games that have been met favorably within the gaming community. However, Hades managed to connect with much wider audience compared to the studios other titles, cultivating an expansive fanbase as a result.
To give back to their fans and to celebrate the season, Supergiant Games released a twelve hour long, animated Yule log video for fans to celebrate the holidays with. The way it’s animated is so similar to how things look in the game that it’s easy for players to imagine Cerberus curled up next to it.
It’s impressive to see how far Hades has come this year, as the game got nominated for numerous awards and managed to take home Best Indie and Best Action Game at the Game Awards 2020. There are even some fans who have requested to have Zagreus as a DLC Character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds in terms of this game and whether players will see any DLC come from it.
