Genshin Impact: Where to Look for the Strange Tooth in The Festering Fang

Genshin Impact‘s The Festering Fang world quest gives players the chance to earn the Dragonspine Spear, a brand new polearm that was added to the game as part of Update 1.2. Before fans can get their hands on this new weapon, though, they must first collect several items at the behest of an NPC named Orban. One of the items that players will need to track down for this Genshin Impact quest is the Strange Tooth, and this guide will detail the locations of four of them.

To get right to it, the four Strange Teeth in Genshin Impact are all located in Dragonspine, with three of them situated in the northern portion of the region and one to the southeast. Rather than attempt to describe these locations, a marked map is perhaps the easiest way to communicate the positions of the Strange Teeth, and one can be found below. Additionally, there are further details on each location following the map, which should alleviate any confusion.

  • 1: On the ground right next to the water.
  • 2: On the ground next to a torch.
  • 3: On the ground on the small island. An Abyss Mage will spawn upon collection of the Tooth.
  • 4: On the ground in the cave at Wyrmrest Valley.

As previously mentioned, Strange Teeth are not the only items that players will need to collect for this quest, as they will also need to obtain a Northlander Polearm Prototype in Genshin Impact. This prototype can be earned in the Spiral Abyss or by leveling up the Frostbearing Tree, and indeed it plays a major role in the construction of the Dragonspine Spear.

Furthermore, players must collect a reasonable quantity of Starsilver Ore for this quest, and the northern perimeter of Dragonspine is perhaps the easiest place to find it. Indeed, the beaches in that area are home to a number of Starsilver deposits, and fans that visit them should have little trouble getting all of the ore that they need. That said, the resource is certainly not exclusive to north Dragonspine, as players can find it scattered across the region.

After collecting all of these items, players will be instructed to fill one of the Strange Teeth with vitality, and that requires a return trip to location four from the map above. This time around, Genshin Impact fans will find themselves in battle with several Fatui, and they will receive the Vitalized Dragontooth once they have proven victorious. All that is left to do from there is return to Orban, hand over the items, and collect the rewards.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for  PS5 and Switch.
