Each month, PlayStation Plus subscribers have a fresh batch of free games to look forward to, and December 2020 was no exception. In total, PS Plus subscribers had three free games to claim throughout the month of December, with all three titles playable on both PS4 and PS5. Anyone that has yet to claim the free PS Plus games for December 2020 will want to act fast, as today is the last day they can do so.
The free PS Plus games for December 2020 will still be available until Tuesday, January 5, at which point they will be replaced with the new set of free games. That means PS Plus subscribers have a very limited time to claim the December goodies, which consist of Worms Rumble, Rocket Arena, and Just Cause 4. Even if one doesn’t necessarily plan on playing any of these games, they might as well claim them anyway just in case and get their money’s worth for their PS Plus subscriptions.
For those curious as to what these games are like, Worms Rumble is a battle royale twist on the classic Worms franchise, whereas Rocket Arena is a unique arena shooter that takes inspiration from games like Overwatch and Quake. Just Cause 4, meanwhile, is an over-the-top open world action game, and the latest installment of the long-running Just Cause franchise.
Once the free PS Plus games for December 2020 are gone, fans can then claim the free PS Plus games for January 2021. As is usual since the launch of the PlayStation 5 back in November, the free PS Plus games for January 2021 include three titles, though this time one game will be exclusive to PS5 owners, whereas those on PS4 can only access the other two free games.
Both PlayStation 4 and PS5 PS Plus subscribers will be able to claim the games GreedFall and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. GreedFall is a well-regarded action RPG that is considered by many to be a hidden gem of the PS4/Xbox One generation, whereas Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third game in the Tomb Raider reboot series. Those on PS5 will have exclusive access to the next-gen version of Maneater, an RPG where players take on the role of a deadly shark.
Meanwhile, PS Plus subscribers already know one of the free PS Plus games for February 2021. While there will likely be two more added to the lineup, fans can count on adding Destruction AllStars to their collection come next month.
