Lil Uzi Vert Complains About Call of Duty: Warzone DMR

At this point, there is considerable documentation of the overbearing DMR 14 meta in Call of Duty: Warzone. Several players have deemed the battle royale to be “unplayable” at this point in time due to the rifle’s massive range, high damage, and a near-lack of recoil. While this feeling is rather mutual across the Call of Duty: Warzone community, one big celebrity has also made his feelings clear about the overpowered weapon.

Enter Lil Uzi Vert. Of course, him being an avid Call of Duty: Warzone player is not too much of a stretch at all. The “XO Tour Llif3” rapper — real name Symere Woods — is known for his alternative interests that can be seen in and out of his music, namely albums inspired by Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, rapping on beats that sample video games, and his massive car collection, with several vehicles customized with characters from anime series such as Cowboy BebopK-On!, and Sword Art Online.

Lil Uzi Vert made his feelings about the DMR clear in a simple four-word tweet which read: “Nerf the DMR already.” The Philadelphia native is perhaps the most high-profile figure to get involved in the debate surrounding the Warzone meta, with 7.9 million Twitter followers as of this time of publication. For comparison, the official Call of Duty Twitter account has less followers with 4.2 million.

Out of the replies to Lil Uzi Vert’s tweet, a notable response came from Timothy “TimTheTatman” Betar who simply tagged the official Call of Duty Twitter account. The New York-based streamer has had his own issues with the DMR, though the rifle is not the only overpowered weapon in the game. Other weapons which the community has complained about include the MAC-10, Type 63, and dual pistols.

In spite of Warzone‘s ongoing balance issues, the battle royale continues to be highly profitable for Activision. Along with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the game heavily contributed to the $1 billion that Activision made off microtransactions alone within a three-month period between July and September.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
