Cyberpunk 2077: The 10 Fastest Vehicles In The Game (& How To Get Them)

It’s not that speed is everything in Cyberpunk 2077. There are turns, dunes, crashes, and other hazards and features that make it so the world is rarely just a straightforward drag race. But as players learn how driving works, perfect the controls, and figure out how to avoid obstacles, they find themselves challenging their first assertion. Speed actually is everything in Night City, it’s the difference between getting caught and getting away.

So don’t settle for a car that is slow but claims to handle better or have better shocks. Gamers have learned to make up the difference in categories like this, but top speed has no substitute; either a car can or it can’t. Clunkers sneak into shops and price themselves high, even though hard-earned eddies are tough to come by. Don’t part with cash unless it’s absolutely necessary. Many of these fine speedsters can be found in the world, further saving V from financial strain. So buckle up and prepare to ready, set, go!

10 Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech/Quadra Type-66 640 TS/Quadra Type-66 “Jen Rowley” – 182 MPH

Whether hunting down every cyberpsycho in the game or simply trying to show off wealth, there isn’t a better way to do it than driving a Quadra brand of car. At 10th place, there is a three-way tie. Unsurprisingly all three cars are made by the same manufacturer.

The Turbo-R V-Tech is a reward for completing the Life’s Work gig (players will recognize this as the car from the trailers). The Type-66 640 TS and the “Jen Rowley” can be purchased for $58,000 apiece. Fun fact: The “Jen Rowley” is a wordplay of “General Lee” because the car is painted and modeled after the infamous 1969 Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard.

9 Quadra Type-66 “Cthulhu” – 185 MPH

Those who love the world of Cyberpunk and all of the awesome anime it inspires will really be interested in the Cthulhu. Named after the legendary creature, it performs as fearsomely as one would expect.

The Cthulhu can be purchased for $76,000, but it’s much better to earn it for free as a reward. If V chooses to save Sampson after The Beast in Me gig, Claire will hook players up with one of these with no strings attached.

8 Quadra Type-66 Avenger – 185 MPH

When completing every Agent Saboteur gig in Night City, V can choose how to get from location to location. If gamers are feeling expeditious and thrifty, consider taking the Avenger to make the drive; it’s a sports car with the horsepower of a hypercar.

The only way to get ahold of it is to buy it outright. At $55,000, it’s a great bargain, there is some cosmetic rust on the front bumper, but V is getting a great deal because it still drives like it’s in mint condition.

7 Mizutani Shion MZ2 – 185 MPH

The Shion MZ2 is classified as a sports coupe, but the decals tell the real story. This is a street racing car through and through, the sound of the engine makes that clear and, at 185 MPH, V will be a blur against any pedestrian vehicle that tries to keep up.

V’s only option to own the vehicle legally and permanently is to shell out $75,000. But if V is looking to impress everyone when knocking out the Both Sides, Now quest, players should seriously consider buying this first to really get the jealousy vibes flowing.

6 Herrera Outlaw GTS – 186 MPH

It was only a matter of time until an actual hypercar showed up on this list. These cars are designed with speed in mind. The brushed metal on the Outlaw GTS and deep blue exterior will make V a legend in Night City, regardless of if a good ending or bad ending lies in store as the curtains close.

The Outlaw GTS is the least expensive of the three purchasable hypercars in the game. It’ll set V back $62,000, but considering the others go for around $200,000, players on a budget will want to give this some serious consideration if they plan on owning a hypercar before all is said and done.

5 Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X – 189 MPH

When checking off the objectives in the Tapeworm questline, V can just go from location to location quietly on foot or in an economy car. But if gamers want to make a name for themselves, it’s better to show up to the tune of the noise generated by the fastest motorcycle in the game.

The Kusanagi CT-3X is the most expensive motorcycle as well, totaling $22,000, but considering that this is about one-third of the cost of cars that have similar specs, it’s a bargain. V won’t be helping neighbors get a lift to the airport anytime soon with it, but that probably won’t come up in any future DLC.

4 Quadra Type-66 “Javelina” – 189 MPH

Futuristic video games like Final Fantasy VII: Remake and Cyberpunk 2077 will compete for the hearts of gamers in a lot of different ways. But, frankly, if Cloud is riding a Chocobo, then V dominates the battle in terms of hardware by riding in on the Javelina.

It’s $73,000 to purchase this “sports” car. The “sports” is in quotes because while it’s technically a luxury vehicle, it was truly invented to surf the dunes and get some serious air. If speed is important but gamers plan on doing some offroading as well, then this is the car for them.

3 Rayfield Aerondight S9 “Guinevere” – 190 MPH

This is the second of the three hypercars and it’s got more hype around it than any other car in the game. According to the description, the value of the vehicle exceeds the GDP of several small countries.

But that’s where the bad news comes in. V can make everyone green with envy but only after first becoming green with cash. It costs $225,000, almost a full one-hundred grand more than the second most expensive car in the game.

2 Mizutani Shion “Coyote” – 199 MPH

The Coyote looks ready to race and looks, in this case, are not deceiving. It’s the second-fastest car in the game and the fastest among standard vehicles that aren’t considered hypercars. The spoiler and tires are impressive, but the real feature here is privacy. All windows completely block passerbys from peeking into the car from any angle.

Best of all, while the car is for sale at $115,000, V can get this at no charge except for labor. It’s the reward for completing the appropriately named side gig Queen of the Highway, so long as V chooses not to betray Panam during the mission.

1 Rayfield Caliburn – 211 MPH

The fastest car in the game is also the only car that can break 200 MPH. With a 211 MPH top speed, it’s a full 12 MPH faster than the runner-up. The Caliburn is a hypercar designed to surpass all limitations and it succeeds at doing just that.

It’s for sale at a steep $157,000, but the best news is yet to come. It can be found and recommissioned to V’s ownership for absolutely free. Head to the mines in the desert after midnight (they’re locked up during the day) and look for a shipping container. Crack it open and the player has access to this jet-black speedster for the rest of the game.
