Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launched with a solid Zombies experience, with many longtime fans of the mode approving of the changes made in its latest iteration. As such, a recent teaser from Treyarch confirming that more Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies content is on the way should prove exciting.
With Call of Duty Zombies fans recently being given the tragic news that Takeo voice actor Tom Kane has suffered a stroke, the community could use something positive to rally around. Thankfully, it seems like something is indeed on the way, as a recent tweet from Treyarch’s official Twitter account has gotten fans excited. With next week including an incredibly special day for Zombies fans, it makes sense that something big could be coming.
Jokingly checking the calendar in the Tweet, Treyarch playfully pretends to have forgotten that next Friday is 115 Day. Upon being reminded of the special January 15 tradition, which usually brings Zombies-themed content to whichever Treyarch Call of Duty is the most active, the studio playfully says, “see you soon, Zombies fans.” Treyarch’s brief post has already led to massive levels of hype in the Zombies community, and while nothing seen in the remark hints at the type of content that will be coming, there are a few big possibilities.
First, it is about time that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans get some official teasers regarding Season 2’s new Zombies map. With previous Call of Duty Zombies maps teased weeks and even months ahead of release, 115 Day lines up perfectly with when promotional material for a DLC map would usually begin to roll out. As such, players can anticipate anything from complex cyphers and new intel to screenshots and trailers of the upcoming map in action.
However, with 115 Day being such a special occasion, players could see even more Zombies content next Friday. With the return of Tombstone soda previously teased as a way to kick of the New Year, it seems likely that Treyarch will introduce the updated version of TranZit’s perk on January 15. With the limited time mode Cranked also coming to Zombies as part of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s midseason update, players will have the perfect place to try out the returning Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 perk.
With Double XP also possible for Call of Duty Zombies fans next Friday, Treyarch could be teasing the biggest version of 115 Day thus far. With the yearly celebration being hyped up a week ahead of its release, those who love the round-based survival mode have a good reason to be excited.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
