Ninja is one of the biggest streamers and content creators in all of video games. But his reach stretches even beyond gaming, as he has been a part of big events, helped bring in the new year at one point, was Ice Cream on The Masked Singer, and continues to expand his brand in creative ways. According to a recent tweet, the Twitch streamer has something else big in store.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has often communicated with his fans that he was wanted to be involved in Hollywood. Now, that may be finally coming true. While the details have not yet been revealed, Ninja shared an exciting announcement via Twitter.
In a tweet, Ninja announced that he just recorded his first voice-over for a TV show. This part, according to his tweet, is for a main role, which sounds rather exciting. The fact that it is a voice-over may indicate that it is something animated, but at this point, Ninja is unable to share any information. In the past, Ninja has discussed being in movies before. In fact, both Tyler and his partner/manager Jessica Belvins filmed a scene for Jumanji: The Next Level at one point, but the scene was cut from the final release.
Although Blevin’s passion and claim to fame will likely always be gaming (as Ninja just received his own skin in Fall Guys), he continues to expand beyond video games. He may have started playing competitive Halo, and worked his way up through streaming Fortnite, but he has much bigger ambitions now.
In 2020, Ninja did some very interesting things. Ninja’s Adidas shoes sold out quickly, and the internet certainly had a lot to say about the kicks. Ninja is very much a talked-about figure on social media among gamers. He seems to find himself in the middle of many online debates and discussions. In terms of simply staying in the limelight, he does a good job, perhaps thanks in part to partner/manager Jessica Blevins.
Of course, the biggest thing that Ninja dealt with in 2020 was the shutdown of Mixer. Blevins talked about coming back to Twitch, instead of perhaps joining YouTube or another platform, in an interview recently. One of the more interesting points was the idea that he reiterated why he moved to Mixer in the first point. Blevins really wants to focus more on doing things outside of just gaming, which became clear in 2020. With this TV role, and with whatever details will present themselves in the future, that looks to be even more clear in 2021.
