For over a month now, Immortals Fenyx Rising has provided an overall well-received fix for fans of more lighthearted open-world adventures in the vein of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It will soon have even more to provide over the next few weeks and months as the game receives new DLC expansions, and in preparation, Ubisoft has released a new update.
Today sees the arrival of Title Update 1.1.0 across all platforms, which brings with it a number of fixes that Immortals Fenyx Rising has needed. These include various fixes to localization and stability, with Ubisoft making specific mention of fixes to bugs found in some activities, as well as issues with the game’s photo mode and customization options.
Most intriguing of all, though, is that the update also adds support for Immortals Fenyx Rising’s first DLC expansion, A New God, which, according to a recent Nintendo eShop leak, will be out next week. At any rate, it seems that the DLC is coming soon, but players can try out a piece of it right now, as Ubisoft also announced that a free demo quest is now available as part of today’s update.
PlayStation 5 owners also have something new to look forward to today. Rounding off the additions introduced with Title Update 1.1.0, Ubisoft has added haptic feedback support to “various combat actions” in the PS5 version of Immortals Fenyx Rising. While the publisher didn’t detail exactly what this entails, it should, at the very least, make combat feel heftier now thanks to the extra feedback coming from the PS5’s DualSense controller.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
