Moving Out is one of 2020’s games that many may have missed. The co-op puzzle game tasks players with helping to pack up and move out homes, office buildings, farms, and more. It’s the wonky physics of items, as well as the co-op puzzle elements that really elevate Moving Out into something special. Now Moving Out‘s developers are inverting the mechanic in a new DLC. Soon, Moving Out players will be able to come together again and this time start Moving In.
Publisher Team17 confirmed Friday morning that Moving Out will be receiving a large free update named Moving In. As the name implies, the update will feature new puzzles that task players with bringing items back into a home or building, placing everything in specific (but not too specific) locations. It’s an idea that’s so simple, but so good that it almost sounds better than the original game design.
Getting down to specifics, Team17 says that the Moving In update will feature a whopping 12 new levels for Moving Out players to explore. One example is a reverse version of a current level named Holly’s Home, in which players put the house they tore apart back together. Also included in the free Moving Out update are two new dance moves, new t-shirt customization options, and a great new Assist Mode accessibility option.
No release date for the Moving In update has been announced just yet, but as mentioned when it’s ready it’ll be available for free to all players. That means it’ll also be available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, too. For the time being, all that Team17 can say is that Moving In will be available soon on all platforms where Moving Out is currently available.
Moving Out is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
