Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a side-scrolling beat’em up by Ubisoft that has a variety of things to find. This game is no slouch when it comes to its spikes in difficulty and there are indeed hidden characters to gain an edge in combat. One of the most sought after characters in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is Nega Scott. Of course, getting a hold of this character is no easy task.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World has a myriad of colorful characters and Nega Scott is basically the dark counter-part of Scott Pilgrim. He’s a physical manifestation of Scott’s “ghosts from the past” and his sole purpose in his existence is to cause trouble. According to Scott Pilgrim lore, Scott Pilgrim was infected by “The Glow” by Gideon Graves which is a physic power that traps people within their own minds. Even though Nega Scott has seldom been seen throughout the series, he has always been a fan favorite.
Players will encounter Nega Scott as a boss at the end of World 6. The way to unlock Nega Scott is fairly straight-forward. Players will need to beat the entire game using all the characters on any difficulty. This is how players truly beat the game. Therefore, players will need to fight through the entire campaign using: Romana, Stephen, Scott, and Kim. However, players won’t need to use Knives or Wallace in order to accomplish this. Just focus on using the standard main characters that are playable at the start of the game.
After the game is completed with the last required character, simply start a new game and he’ll be selectable. His stats are a little different than Scott Pilgrim and he also comes with some extra moves. His “Guts Points” are reduced from 100 down to 50. However, he has superior “tech moves” that can do a lot of damage. His flying kick can do up to 75 damage. When playing as Nega Scott through the campaign, players will need to fight him again at the end of World 6. This can make an interesting fight to witness.
Gameplay-wise, Nega Scott still plays the same as Scott Pilgrim. However, he moves faster and comes with a few aces up his sleeve. He has all the same moves that he uses against players (as a boss) at the end of World 6. On top of that, he also comes with a new assist in the guise of “Nega Knives” to help clear out areas. If players are looking for a reason to go back to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, going after this unlockable character will surely keep them busy.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is available on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation4, and Xbox One.
