World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – How to Solo Twisting Corridors

Nearly two months after release, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players have explored and beaten all the launch content currently available. Even initially difficult endgame questing and raiding has become much less daunting thanks to the weekly gear upgrades from Mythic+ or Castle Nathria. In response, Blizzard finally released Twisting Corridors which brings the hardest challenge yet for heroes.

Twisting Corridors is the latest addition to Torghast and consists of eighteen floors per layer randomly stitched together from the other six wings. While the rest of Torghast was previously nerfed, Twisting Corridors is closer to the original iteration in terms of scaling. Because of the difficulty, many players are still finding it hard to fully complete even two weeks later. However, it is possible to clear all eight layers and do it solo by keeping several tips in mind.

Since the first week of Torghast, some classes discovered extremely strong anima power combos that allowed them to clear the other wings with ease. With Twisting Corridors being eighteen floors instead of the normal six, the scaling on certain abilities can reach insane amounts by the final boss. On the other hand, tanks and healers have modified scaling compared to going in as a DPS specialization. While most players can solo Twisting Corridors with a good understanding of their class, using specific ones with innate survival such as Vengeance Demon Hunter and Protection Warrior can make the process much easier.

Because Twisting Corridors is generated from the other parts of Torghast, players can enter and immediately reset until they get a specific starting wing. This is important since it is possible for a wing to be repeated twice and certain debuffs like increased enemy health (Coldheart Interstitia) will make upper layers much more difficult when stacked with the scaling past floor thirteen. The best wings to start a Twisting Corridor run are Fracture Chambers or Skodus Hall because their debuffs only spawn an enemy if World of Warcraft players are out of combat for too long. Furthermore, this reset method means players can fish for their best anima powers from the initial choice at the start of a run.

Compared to normal Torghast wings, health increasing powers such as Obleron Endurance are more valued because enemies will eventually scale to a point where they cannot be one shot. On higher floors, it turns into a DPS race where characters must survive being hit by multiple melee mobs and ranged casters along with various environmental hazards. If some players are unlucky enough to reach the third wing without getting any health powers, they should consider starting over since the floor eighteen boss will instantly kill them in most cases if other enemies don’t do it first.

While players can get away with rushing through earlier parts of Twisting Corridors, the massive scaling on upper layers means their characters will need every powerup they can find. Search for every last enemy including rares since the Runecarver will say, “You are hunted, be wary” if one is present on the current floor. Free as many soul remnants and help out various Covenant members trapped in Torghast for additional powers. Finally, loot everything and break urns for extra Phantasma to purchase all the upgrades from NPCs every third floor. Most players should expect to take around two hours for layer eight.

In the end, fully finishing Twisting Corridors awards several cosmetics including a Corridor Creeper mount that works in the Maw. Though grouping up can take out some of the difficulty, these tips ensure it can be done solo especially if players have raid level gear and have Torghast upgrades acquired through gaining reputation with Ve’nari via Maw dailies.
