Cyberpunk 2077 Issues Persist After Update 1.10 | Game Rant

After years in development, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally been released, but unfortunately, it does not live up to many people’s expectations. Whether it’s graphical problems or glitches, some find that the Cyberpunk 2077 technical issues are funny; others find it more of a hindrance.

One of the biggest issues that players have not enjoyed dealing with is crashing, especially on previous generation consoles. Even on the newer consoles, it takes a lot to make Cyberpunk 2077 settings run optimally for gaming systems.

The 1.10 update patch for the game was hypothetically supposed to fix Cyberpunk 2077’s crashing problem by making various stability improvements, but crashes are still being reported by many players. Some users have even claimed that the game crashes are happening more frequently now that the update has been installed.

As part of the 1.10 patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red claimed this would improve the stability issues that the company has been working on, including glitches associated with opening save files, opening and closing the game, and the point of no return. On top of that, the company worked to improve memory usage within the game for various aspects such as in-game videos, laser effects, minimaps, devices, AI, street traffic, and environmental damage.

As it stands now, the update is 16.9 GB on top of the already huge Cyberpunk 2077 file size, making it way over 100 GB at this point. While there are many users that have claimed the game still crashes every hour, others have also said their playthrough has gone through without that many hiccups, suggesting these other reports are exaggerating. It is hard to tell with this phenomenon why only some gaming systems are struggling while others aren’t having issues, but it is still important for CD Projekt Red to keep fixing these issues as soon as it can.

It’s sad to see a game that had so much potential and hype behind it fall to the wayside after all this time and effort was put into it. While there is still a lot of support for the game, CD Projekt Red does have its hands full with fixing these issues on top of dealing with the class-action lawsuits against Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully, once all these problems are fixed and the dust clears, fans will be able to get the version of the game they were always hoping for.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions in development.
