The release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is quickly approaching. With nearly each passing day, a new detail is seemingly uncovered. While it has long been known that Super Mario 3D World would support online multiplayer this time around, it is only recently that footage has surfaced online.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is one of the more highly anticipated Nintendo Switch titles for 2021. Bowser’s Fury is a small but appreciated all-new adventure of a Mario title, something fans haven’t truly had since Mario Odyssey. Meanwhile, while Super Mario 3D World is the Wii U game brought back to life on the Switch, and it comes with new features, updated resolution, and more. One of those features happens to be online multiplayer.
Earlier this month, some of the details about the online multiplayer for Super Mario 3D World were confirmed, but it is only now that footage has appeared online. The website GameReactor.es has shared some online footage of Super Mario 3D World, and quite a lot of it. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad can be seen running about throughout the Mushroom kingdom in a bevy on different levels.
Mario’s gang run through a spooky haunted house, a snowcapped mountain, and a “p-switch” puzzle platformer in the sky. Although it looks very fun, it also looks quite challenging, as Mario and company do spend quite a lot of the video falling behind or simply falling to death.
The next Mario adventure on Nintendo’s hybrid console looks exciting, and with the game being so close to release, each day something new seems to be discovered. One of the newest details is the fact that the resolution and framerate for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury were revealed, showing that the game will run a bit smoother and look crisper than it did on the Wii U, which is likely exciting for fans.
Other news may be less thrilling. For example, some may be disappointed to learn that Bowser’s Fury can be beaten in only three hours, if early reports are to be believed. So while replaying an old Mario game is fun, if anyone was holding out hope to spend loads of time on a new adventure, this may not be the right Mario title quite yet. That being said, with the Wii U selling relatively poorly, especially in comparison to the Nintendo Switch, there will be many individuals who never had a chance to play Super Mario 3D World who will now have the chance to enjoy the game on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will launch on February 12 for the Nintendo Switch.
