Raven Software Comments on Hit Marker Issues in Call of Duty: Warzone

The February patch update to Call of Duty: Warzone fixed several issues in the game, however it also apparently added a couple of new ones to it. The patch caused various issues with bullet hit registration in Warzone with no hit markers showing up to let players know if their shots landed.

Call of Duty: Warzone co-developer Raven Software recently commented on the matter, saying it will investigate the issue in more detail. The developer announced on Twitter that it would be looking into the claims of the inconsistent hit markers after the recent patch was released. The tweet also provides a link to the Call of Duty Trello page for Warzone to confirm that the problem is on their notice board.

Plenty of players were frustrated by the hit registration issue when it started cropping up after the February patch was released. The patch was able to fix various problems, like the stim glitch, but it ended up bringing back an issue Warzone previously had. The hit markers were randomly appearing then disappearing while players’ shots made direct contact with their target in the past, and as a result various players reported the issue along with other problems they encountered in the game on the Warzone subreddit.

Currently, Raven Software is only looking into Call of Duty: Warzone‘s hit marker issue, and it will be able to provide more information in the upcoming days once it learns more. However, the developer hasn’t confirmed if it will be looking into other problems that were mentioned on the Reddit post or other social media sites by players. At the moment, Raven Software seems to just be focusing on this problem.

Plenty of players voiced their support for Raven Software’s communication with the game’s community. However, some players are unconvinced, since there are other problems that Raven Software has yet to look into. Some of these include players being unable to change operators in Warzone, potential shadow banning, loadout issues, Black Ops Cold War weapon attachments, and various other bugs and issues.

At the time of writing, it is unclear if the developer will be looking into these problems as well or save those concerns for later down the line. Now that Raven Software is looking into the hit marker problem, players can expect more updates on the matter while the developer works on understanding and resolving the issue.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
