Forza Horizon 4 is Coming to Steam Next Month | Game Rant

For the first time in the franchise’s history, a Forza game will be coming to Steam, with Forza Horizon 4 slated to arrive on Valve’s PC storefront on March 9. The racing game will join a slew of other Xbox titles that have made the jump to the popular storefront in recent years, including Sea of Thieves, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and Gears 5.

The version hitting Steam will debut alongside both of the DLCs currently available for the title – those being the Fortune Island and LEGO Speed Champions add-ons. Its launch also falls alongside the announcement of a new DLC slated to hit the game, with Playground Games announcing a Hot Wheels Legends car pack coming soon.

It looks as though the add-on will bring a ton of notable Hot Wheels vehicles to the racing experience, with the teaser image looking comparable to the LEGO Speed Champions pack that added a variety of LEGO cars and tracks. It appears to be a fun new addition to the title, especially for those experiencing the game for the first time via the new Steam port.

This won’t be Forza Horizon 4‘s debut on PC, with the game initially launching on the Microsoft Store back when it released in 2018. However, Horizon 4 is slated to be the first game in the franchise to make the leap to Steam. It’s a great fit for the store, with the game’s mix of striking visuals and acclaimed open-world racing making for a dominant addition to Microsoft’s first-party lineup. With PC players often looking for experiences that test out the strength of their gaming setups, Forza Horizon 4 will likely be popular on Valve’s digital platform.

For those who never played Forza Horizon 4, the game takes place in England, with players assuming the role of a professional racing driver who joins the Horizon festival. They must compete on a series of tracks at varying times of year, with the big draw for the sequel being the change in seasons and how that affects car handling and terrain. Alongside that, it also built upon the mix of realistic driving gameplay and arcade-y open-world fun that made the Horizon series memorable, scoring well with critics and fans alike. The next entry in the popular racing series, Forza Motorsportis set to debut on the Xbox Series X.

Forza Horizon 4 is available now on PC and Xbox One, with a Steam port slated to release on March 9.
