After escaping Little Nightmares 2‘s hunter and completing the Little Nightmares 2 forest chapter, players will make their way towards Little Nightmares 2‘s second location- The School. Unlike the forest, where players would only have to contend with a single enemy, in The School players must escape the teacher and all of the students.
What sets The School chapter apart from any level in the first Little Nightmares, is that it sees the introduction of combat mechanics to fend off the students throughout the chapter. It is also worth noting that The School is the longest chapter in Little Nightmares 2, and as a result, will have more collectibles.
This guide will outline all missable hat and glitching remains in addition to all missable achievements that can be obtained in the chapter. There are a total of 2 hats, 6 glitching remains, and 5 missable achievements/trophies in Chapter 2.
Glitching Remains 1: At the start of the level, Mono and Six will be separated and the player must push a series of televisions on ropes to reunite. When the player finally reunites with Six, players will be required to walk across a beam to progress. Before proceeding across the beam, turn around, and continue to walk left until reaching a large room. Players will notice the glitch remains on the ledge next to the hanging television.
Glitching Remains 2: Shortly after finding the previous collectible location, players will reach a large schoolyard that is accessed by moving a dumpster with the companion. In the top right corner of the schoolyard, players will find glitching remains next to a tricycle.
Hat Location 1: Players will find the first hat collectible on top of the dumpster next to the entrance to the school, which is in the same location as the previous glitching remains.
Missable Achievement 1: Referee: Before heading up the makeshift rope on the side of the school, equip the ball hat that was just found on top of the dumpster and run into the net to unlocked the referee achievement.
Missable Achievement 2: Fly Free: After entering the school via the rope, players will come across a room filled with bunk beds and various toys scattered throughout the room. Lying on the ground in this room players will find a paper airplane. Pick up the paper airplane and return to the window that was used to enter the building. Toss the airplane through the window for the achievement to unlock.
Glitching Remains 3: After Six is abducted, the player will have to defeat two school children before being able to proceed by climbing through a door. After climbing through the door, players will notice a bank of lockers in front of them. Players must open one of the lockers on the left to access the collectible.
Missable Achievement 3: Bully Of Bullies: Players will eventually reach a classroom where they must sneak by while the teacher is at the chalkboard. During this section, players must alert the classroom of their presence and have the students chase them into the room on the right. Once inside of the room, quickly climb the bookcase and jump off before it falls on the students.
Missable Achievement 4: Merciful Feat: After escaping the classroom via the elevator, players will reach a room with a student tied to a rope. Simply grab the pipe and proceed through the door on the right without harming the student to unlock the achievement.
Hat Location 2: After escaping the teacher and climbing across some ceiling beams, players will eventually reach a large library with a moveable ladder. The second hat can be obtained by moving the ladder one shelf over to the right.
Glitching Remains 4: Once players have exited the library they will eventually reach a room with a staircase and a large clock on the second floor. The collectible can be found by walking up the stairs and proceeding to the left side near the banister.
Glitching Remains 5: After solving the creepy chessboard puzzle, players will end up in hallways that connect to the kitchen. To progress, players must move a large shelf to climb through a vent. Before climbing through the vent, push the door behind the shelf’s original location to find the collectible.
Missable Achievement 5: Monotone: After reaching the room with the large piano, run across the keys several times to unlock the “monotone” achievement/trophy.
Glitching Remains 6: Once players escape the school they will find themselves back outside. After completing a platforming puzzle with a dumpster, players will find the final collectible down a side alley.
Little Nightmares 2 launches February 11 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions also in development.
