A new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been released, unveiling several changes to the multiplayer playlist. Every few weeks, Treyarch creates a new playlist to add some variety into the multiplayer environments. These rotating playlists are generally successful, and many Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans look forward to their arrival.
While most fans would not connect brutal and violent Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War warfare with chocolate hearts, Treyarch’s new playlist comes with a unique addition. A new Valentine’s Day-themed event has been added following the developer’s trend of seasonal game modes. Although the playlist contains several other options, fans are being introduced to a brand new game mode titled “Kiss Confirmed.”
Kiss Confirmed is a special variation of the Call of Duty standard Kill Confirmed where players drop candy hearts instead of dog tags. Players will have to gather up hearts scattered across the map as they embrace the Valentine’s Day spirit while gunning down the enemy team. The game mode is officially live worldwide on February 12, and it will coincide with a Double Weapon XP Weekend to make the holiday even sweeter. Battle pass tiers are also on sale for anyone looking to buy their way through the current season.
In addition to Kiss Confirmed, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is receiving Express and Nuketown 24/7, a 3v3 Snipers Online Gunfight mode, Prop Hunt, Face Off, and Gunfight Blueprints. Depending on player preference, each game mode has something to offer the diverse community of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
The weekly update also includes minor updates across the game in an effort to help balance some concerns of the community. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has improved immensely since its initial release, and this return to a holiday spirit shows that the developer is not forgetting to add a little fun into their fixes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans are sure to enjoy the Kiss Confirmed variant provided the gameplay experience remains smooth and consistent. With previous errors still fresh in the community’s mind, fans are on high alert for even the slightest fault in new events. It is important to remember that the Treyarch developers do read the community comments on social media, so fans should report any glitches as promptly as possible.
Call of Duty: Black Ops cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
