Bungie Confirms Destiny 2 Raid Exotic is Bugged | Game Rant

One of the most exciting parts about Destiny 2 is often hunting down and trying out the new Exotics. These unique weapons shake up the game with high stats and unique properties, and rumors of a new machine gun Exotic coming already have some players excited.

Of course, making sure that these weapons are balanced is one of the trickier aspects of Destiny 2. With so much content locked away due to Sunsetting, it’ll be a bit easier for devs to balance new gear, but there will still be troubles. Case in point, the Eyes of Tomorrow, a new Exotic that players thought was hit too hard with the nerf bat. Turns out said nerf was not at all intentional.

The Exotic is a rocket launcher, which already means it should pack a big punch. The Eyes of Tomorrow features an even bigger power spike than normal however, as it fires a swarm of rockets with one volley. Players noticed that it was not putting out the kind of oomph that description suggested however, and reached out to devs to ask what was up. After all, weapons like the Titan Cuirass of the Falling Star are still packing a big punch without such a huge nerf to their power. As of this article, the official response has come down: the “nerf” was the result of a bug.

Of course, other aspects of the weapon not being as powerful as players would like are entirely intentional. When it comes to damage though, it really is a bug that’s making the Eyes lackluster. This should not come as a huge surprise to anyone familiar with Destiny 2, as bugs are pretty much an integral part of the game’s identity. Recently, one of Destiny 2‘s returning Strikes was disabled because of a progress bug, and that’s far form the only example.

Granted, issues of this nature with weapons are a big more rare, but as Eyes proves, no aspect of Destiny 2 is completely safe. Some players even had the game crash on them after the Season of the Chosen update. The introduction of new bugs is likely something players will never be free of in Destiny 2.

Still, with the bug known publicly, players can be sure the issue will be fixed eventually. The devs of Destiny 2 are nothing if not attentive to what players are saying, even if the game goes in directions not everyone like sometimes. Even voice actors get in on the fun community side of things sometimes with stuff like meme readings.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
