The title is coming to mobile devices and Nintendo Switch later this year.
People will be able to get their first taste of Pokemon Unite in the wild in just a few weeks.
The Pokemon Company has said that a beta for the game will be rolling out in Canada in March, but only to those with Android devices. To sign up you should head here; you have to be at least 16 in order to participate. Any progress you make during the beta will not be carried over into the full game when it comes out. You’re also banned from recording or streaming gameplay.
Pokemon Unite was announced in June of last year. It’s a real-time team-based battle game published by Chinese entertainment Tencent that is coming to Switch and mobile.
“Since the first reveal of Pokémon Unite nearly a year ago, development has continued to progress. More playable Pokémon have been added, changes and additions have been made to the gameplay, the visuals have improved, and much more,” The Pokemon Company said.
“That said, there’s still plenty to be done to ensure the best possible experience. Now the developers are looking to Pokémon fans to help deliver that experience by participating in a regional beta test in Canada. This March, players in Canada will have their first opportunity to play Pokémon Unite. While the game is planned to release for Apple and Android devices and Nintendo Switch, this beta test will be limited to Android devices.”
