Players that purchase a Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto ticket will gain access to a Special Research that features a variety of tasks and rewards. Perhaps the most notable of those rewards is an encounter with a shiny Ditto, and it is granted near the end of the Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto Special Research. That said, this shiny is certainly not all that fans will receive as they work through these new tasks, and a full breakdown of the Special Research can be found below.
Before detailing all of the PoGO Tour: Kanto Special Research tasks and rewards, it is worth mentioning that there are some slight variations between the Red and Green versions. More specifically, players that purchase a Green ticket will focus on Bulbasaur, while those that purchase a Red ticket will focus on Charmander. Fans will see this reflected in the following list, which uses “Bulbasaur/Charmander” when relevant.

- Use an Incense (1 Incubator)
- Send 3 Gifts to friends (5 Pinap Berries)
- Trade 3 Pokemon with a friend (25 Bulbasaur/Charmander Candy)
Rewards: 500 Stardust, Lickitung Encounter, 25 Cubone Candy
- Make 3 Nice Throws in a row (Aerodactyl Encounter)
- Catch 10 different species of Pokemon (1 Star Piece)
- Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokemon (25 Bulbasaur/Charmander Candy)
Rewards: 1 Premium Battle Pass, Snorlax Encounter, 25 Cubone Candy
- Make 3 Nice Throws in a row (25 Bulbasaur/Charmander Candy)
- Battle in 3 Raids (20 Mewtwo Candy)
- Evolve 1 Pokemon (1 Tour Cap)
Rewards: 1 Fast TM, Lapras Encounter, 1 Charged TM
- Catch 30 Pokemon (3,000 XP)
- Catch 15 different species of Pokemon (3 Rare Candy)
- Transfer 20 Pokemon (3,000 XP)
Rewards: 1 Lure Module, Shiny Ditto Encounter, 1 Lucky Egg
- Claim Reward (3,000 XP)
- Claim Reward (3,000 Stardust)
- Claim Reward (3,000 XP)
Rewards: 20 Ditto Candy, 20 Mew Candy, 10 Ditto Stickers
To note, players that complete all of this Special Research will also unlock the Kanto Masterwork Research, which will ultimately lead to an encounter with Shiny Mew in Pokemon GO. While not all of the tasks associated with the Masterwork Research are known at the time of writing, fans should expect them to be much more difficult to complete than those listed above. However, players that are persistent should eventually finish the All-in-One 151 Research and earn their Mew.
