Pokemon fans have yet another way to celebrate its 25th anniversary, as Re-Ment just released a new line of stained glass Pokemon figurines. In total, there are six different figures to collect, each one depicting an iconic Pokemon from the series’ past. Players can find Pikachu, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mew, Umbreon, and Gardevoir stained glass figurines, each of which can be obtained from within a blind box full of other collectibles.
Each Pokémon blind box costs 990 yen, which comes out to about $9.29 USD. At the moment, the boxes are expected to hit stores across Japan, but there hasn’t been any word about a worldwide release. It’s not clear how long these figurines will be around for, but they could well become very valuable after their run is over, and avid collectors wouldn’t want to miss them anyway.
The figurines released on February 27th of 2021, a date that also marks the 25th anniversary of Pokemon as a whole. In celebration of this momentous occasion, Nintendo revealed a ton of news regarding the future of Pokemon, including the highly anticipated remakes Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Naturally, it hasn’t taken long for fans to start talking about Generation 5 remakes, but that is likely a long ways away. In the meantime, hardcore Pokemon fans can try and get their hands on all six of these collectible stained glass figurines. At the very least players would need to purchase six boxes, but there’s a good chance that they’ll get some duplicates along the way.
Re-Ment’s stained glass Pokemon figurines are available now in Japan.
