Guilty Gear Strive delayed to June

Not even a game coming out in four weeks is safe from delays.

Guilty Gear Strive developer Arc System Works has this morning announced that the anticipated fighting game is being pushed back to June 11, a two-months delay.

The developer revealed the news in a note posted to Twitter, calling out things like online lobbies and server stability as areas in need of some extra work.

“Since we have received valuable feedback after the recent open beta test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game possible. We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobbies and the server’s stability,” wrote Arc System Works.

“We believe it best to use the extra time to improve the game’s quality and provide a better experience to all our players. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

This delay is particularly sudden, especially coming off the recent popular beta, whose players thought they’d only have to wait a few more weeks to play the full game. This is Strive’s second delay, after the game got pushed back from the end of last year to April.

Guilty Gear Strive is coming to PC, PS4 and PS5.
