Respawn Reveals Complete List of Bug Fixes For Next Apex Legends Update

Apex Legends is a Battle Royale shooter that has established itself within the genre over the past few years. As a live service title, it is consistently receiving updates and additions to improve the experience for fans. Now, Respawn Entertainment has released the latest list of bug fixes that are coming to Apex Legends in an upcoming patch.

In any online multiplayer game, there are bound to be bugs and glitches hindering performance. With so many different weapons, character abilities, and strategies interacting at the same time, issues will crop up. Respawn, the team behind Apex Legends, is working to smooth out the title even more. After the recent Season 8 patch, the developers are looking ahead for what is in store for the game.

The vast list of improvements Respawn showed off includes problems ranging from minor to frustrating. One of the noticeable updates has to do with fixing broken skins in Apex Legends, a problem that players will be familiar with. Wraith, Bloodhound, and Octane are all getting patches to make certain skins function, with the “Electric Blue” texture on console seeing a fix too. Fortunately, those experiencing Bloodhound’s Sacred Gate and GPU crashes will be happy to hear that Respawn is resolving these.

There are some minor cosmetic style patches coming in the next update as well. Fixes for line breaks in the menu and cut offs in the Ranked League menus should make the UI tidier. Respawn is also bringing PIN events to the Apex Legends Battle Pass so players can track any missing rewards. The good news is that fans of the Battle Royale will not be waiting much longer for these changes to reach the live game. The developers have specified that the patch should be coming out on Monday, March 15 in the morning.

Respawn continues to show that the team is focusing on keeping its Battle Royale a solid experience. With a recent release of an Apex Legends Nintendo Switch port, many of the fixes coming in the next update are for that console. Even though the game has to be tailored down for the handheld device, it looks like smooth performance is important for the developers. Plus, making sure the skins display correctly is important since cosmetic items are a big reason for player investment.

However, any players looking for a substantial update will be waiting longer. Most of the fixes here are for functionality rather than adding in additional content or map changes. If some were hoping Respawn would add cross-progression to Apex Legends for Switch, there is no mention of it either. In any case, improving the experience of a live service game is always welcome, and fans should look out for the update on Monday.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
