The new Genshin Impact Hangouts questline allows players to spend some time with some four-star characters. But unlike some others, such as Bennett’s hangout quests, Noelle’s has heavier romantic overtones and adorable cutscenes.
The addition of Genshin Impact‘s Hangout quests seems to be a move to add visual novels inspired by the Japanese genre of gaming. After all, the biggest draw of Genshin Impact is pulling characters from the gacha, so this is a great opportunity to get to know some characters better. While the Traveler may have done several quests with Zhongli in the Liyue story, Noelle has been around since the game’s launch but has seen very little screentime.
Each Hangout character questline has 6 different endings, each offering different rewards and unique cutscenes upon completion. To unlock any one character’s quests to initiate the hangouts in, players much spend 2 keys, collected from completing 8 Daily Commissions per key. The Maid of Favonius Noelle’s first act is titled “Chivalric Training.” Receiving each ending requires choosing certain dialogue options. These quests can be repeated as many times as needed to get all 6 endings.
To start off, initiate a conversation with Noelle after selecting her quest in the quest menu. To get the first ending, Goodbye, Miss Maid, the first important dialogue option occurs after she asks for guidance on her chivalric training. Answer with, “You know… it’s okay not to be a knight.” The second important choice is later on when talking to Alois. When he asks about the gift, say, “This one was made especially for you.”
For Noelle’s second ending, A Cold Reception, follow the same dialogue path up until Alois asks about Noelle’s gift. Instead, answer with, “It’s just Noelle’s way of showing hospitality.”
The third ending, A Defender’s Will is Their Strength, requires players to go back to the first conversation with Noelle. When she asks about guidance for her chivalric training, instead answer with, “Of course, where do you want to start?” Later in the same conversation, when she says, “I always feel like something’s missing,” respond with, “What you lack is strength!” This will then prompt a small task to destroy several training dummies in one hit by using Noelle’s charge attack. Afterward, ask her, “Is it because you lack real-world fighting experience?”
Ending 4, A Maid Above Ground follows the same path as Ending 3 until the last response, where players should answer, “Because… you still need more strength!” Players can also forgo the early conversations and tasks by selecting a checkpoint.
During A Conundrum Called Love, or the fifth ending, the Genshin Impact Hangout quest will get a bit more romantic. Go back to the first conversation with Noelle, answer with, “Of course, where do you want to start?” But when she says, “I always feel like something’s missing,” say, “What you lack is rest.” Later on, in Mondstadt, Noelle will ask which kind of gift she should give. Respond with, “It shouldn’t matter, it’s the thought that counts.”
However, when at the library with Noelle, make sure to check out her study notes by looking at the large stack of books on the table to unlock 5 Primogems.
Finally, the sixth ending, Whisper of the Paper Rose, is the best and most romantic ending to the Geo character‘s dating sim. The dialogue path follows the same path as Ending 5 until Noelle asks about the gifts in Mondstadt. Answer with, “Gifts should convey our intentions, we should choose carefully.”
Upon completing Noelle’s hangouts in Genshin Impact and obtaining the final Hangout Memories, players can receive a number of gifts including 20 Primogems, character leveling materials, Hero’s Wit, and Noelle’s special dish, Lighter-Than-Air Pancakes.
Genshin Impact is out now for Mobile, PC, and PS4, and is in development for PS5 and Switch.
