Rumor: The Elder Scrolls 6 Could Have Survival Gameplay Mechanics, New Magic System

As fans desperately wait for news about when The Elder Scrolls 6 game will release, many are wondering what sort of changes will be made to the series. There has not been a lot of information to be released yet, but there is a strong possibility that The Elder Scrolls 6 could face major changes.

And just like any other games with huge expectations, there are huge game leaks that come from it and stir fan engagement. While some are later proven to be false, some leaks do hold some standing over others depending on the source that the information comes from. Although all leaks should still be taken lightly at the end of the day and only considered a possibility until official news comes out.

Tiffany Treadmore, one of the leakers for The Elder Scrolls 6, is a historically credible leaker who has gotten very important information out in the past, such as the cancellation of E3 in 2020 and the recent Nintendo Direct event. This time around, the leaker suggests that The Elder Scrolls 6 will have survival mechanics implemented into the game.

Not only that, but Treadmore also claims that there is a strong possibility that there will be a Rune Drawing feature worked into the game as well for magical spells and abilities that are different from the previous games. Rune Drawing in video games is typically when gamers draw out magic symbols in the air to cast spells, just like Okami HD on the PS3. However, Treadmore does not give any specific details as to how both the Rune Drawing and Survival Mechanics systems would work.

It would not be too much of a surprise if Bethesda actually did use survival mechanics in the new Elder Scrolls game. The company has used these new mechanics for its previous Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 games. And while these new additions did change how the game could be played for longtime fans, they did invite a new level of creativity into Fallout 76 that was not previously there before.

At this moment, there is no word from Bethesda about whether or not these rumors are true. And Bethesda’s Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing, Pete Hines, has publicly stated that the company will not start talking about The Elder Scrolls 6 for a couple more years. So while fans do have to wait a while for official information, hopefully, when the game does come out for players, it will be just as good as they thought it would be.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development.
