There’s a variation of weapons in Kingdoms of Amalur called Unique Weapons, and those who prefer wielding hammers will find a ton of powerful unique hammers in this massive open world. There are some that are way more powerful than others. These are the hammers they should watch out for if they want to dominate the game.
10 The Mountain
This hammer’s name is befitting of its physical appearance. This herculean weapon bears an enchained rock in its head. It is a part of the Reckoning Might Bonus Pack DLC.
This weapon deals a stunning 209 physical damage. It also increases the stun duration by 5% and increases the physical damage by 5%. The player will need to be level 20 in order to wield this weapon. It can be looted from the Special Delivery chest in Gorhart Village.
9 The Spine
The Spine hammer is exclusive to The Legend of Dead Kel DLC. This hammer was fashioned out of a sea beast’s vertebrae column. It was created and wielded by a sailor named Bloodgrin. The player can obtain this weapon by defeating him.
The Spine deals 209 in physical damage and 40 in piercing damage. It will also inflict 5 shocking damage over 15 seconds. It will increase its wielder’s chance of critical hit by 6%.
8 Ward of the North
The Ward of the North hammer’s head is a solid block of ice. It can be found randomly either in chests or as loot. It is said that this weapon was lost at sea by Dead Kel himself, a powerful and terrifying pirate.

7 Fallenstar
The Fallenstar hammer is exclusive to the game’s DLC called Teeth of Naros. It originally belonged to Eruineses, an important figure in the Kollossae race. It can be picked up from random chests or loot in the Teeth of Naros section of the game.
This weapon deals 248 physical damage and 18 primal damage over 5 seconds. It also increases the wielder’s mana, fire damage, ice damage, and lightning damage by 6%.
6 Fist of Kreios
This weapon belonged to Kreios, the liberator and leader of the Kollossae. It was with this weapon that he managed to free his people and create his own nation and faction.
This weapon’s physical damage is an impressive 254, making it one of the hardest-hitting hammers in the game. It increases the stun duration by 25% and chance to stun by 10%. To wield this weapon, the player will need to be at least level 18.
5 Legacy’s End
The Legacy’s End is a hammer crafted by the Niskaru. This weapon is thought to be so powerful that it was feared by all, including the Erathi, a race of powerful magical beings.
This powerful hammer deals 229 physical damage. The wielder’s damage output will increase by 20% if dealt against heavily wounded targets. It also has a 20% chance of stealing 30 health per hit. To wield this hammer, the player should be level 20 at the least.
4 Mortrost
The Motrost is the trusty hammer of the mighty Ettin Chieftain. According to its description, the hammer’s name roughly translates to “Big Thumer”. This weapon can be obtained as part of the House of Valor challenges on the game’s Arena Battle Board.
This hammer deals 97-229 physical damage and increases the overall physical damage by 10%. It will also deal an extra 25% damage against giants. This weapon has a character level requirement of 7-20.
3 Mystic Hammer
The Mystic Hammer almost feels like it is the poster boy for hammers in Kingdoms of Amalur, as it is the weapon featured on the cover art of the game. It is believed that this weapon is sacred to the Warsworn organization.
This powerful weapon’s stats are very straightforward. Its physical damage is 229 and it increases its wielder’s mana by 20%. It will also increase the damage by 25% if the player is fighting a Niskaru.
2 Nearth’s Hammer
The Nearth’s Hammer was apparently used by Nearth to kill his master. It has since been passed on when he renounced his position. This weapon is earned as a reward for completing the Heroes Shall Not Pass side quest.
This hammer deals 229 physical damage. It increases the player’s health, physical damage, and critical hit chance by 15%. The player will need to be at least level 16 to wield this powerful hammer.
1 Shipbuilder’s Mate
The Shipbuilder’s Mate is an insanely powerful unique hammer. This weapon has the highest base damage in the entire game. It is exclusive to The Legend of Dead Kel DLC and can be obtained as a rare find during the Scouting Mission Quest.
This powerful hammer deals 264 physical damage. It also increases stun chance by 8% and the overall health by 5%. To wield this hammer, the player should at least be level 20.
