Turn 10 has revealed that it’ll be bringing the community in to help it test Forza 8, and that the developer will be using the feedback to help shape its next racing game.
If you’re interested in trying out Forza Motorsport 8 before it officially hits the shelves, look sharp. Keen to court the community and listen to feedback from players, Turn 10 plans to host a special Forza panel designed to collect information from its players.
Better yet, anyone that takes part in the panel will be given access to a closed playtest of Forza Motorsport 8, too. Creative director Chris Esaki has teased that this closed playtest will be part of a ‘new phase’ of development for the game which relies more on community feedback.

“The new news is today we will soon be able to share to our people in our Forza panel, they will actually be able to get their hands on a part of our new Forza Motorsport game.
“In addition to these Forza panels, we actually have been running weekly playtests within our Xbox Game studios and getting a lot of data and feedback on how the game’s progressing and how to really fine tune our details and get the racing right for everyone,” Esaki explained.
If you want to take part in this extended testing phase yourself, all you need to do is apply online. “The only way to get your hands on this part of the new Forza Motorsport title is to be part of that panel” according to Esaki, so bear that in mind if you’re eager to get your hands on the game.
“We’re going to continue to plan this type of testing as we go in the months ahead and get more and more people from the community in and enjoying this experience. So once again, get on those Forza panels and you’ll actually be able to check out the new or part of the new Forza Motorsport.
Forza 8 will run in native 4K at 60fps, will make use of ray tracing, too, so it looks like it really will be a proper next-gen experience in all the right ways. Currently in development, the game is touted as a reimagining of the series – and will be coming on day one to Xbox Game Pass.
